| Ⓧ TWINLEAF TOWN

Formerly given to Nox in a ceasefire, the anarchy of the past few years has been cause for a massive propaganda war within the walls of Twinleaf. While the town is of little military or economic value, its small populace is often used as a testing ground for the latest propaganda.

| Ⓛ LAKE VERITY

A lush carpet of wildlife and deceptively serene surface makes Lake Verity a perfect hiding place for Lux. They cautiously watch the small towns of Twinleaf and Sandgem, waiting for a chance to seize them. Secret gardens are grown for emergency food supply near its fertile forests, and are often sent to Lux battlefronts via flying Pokemon.

| Ⓧ SANDGEM TOWN

A little learning is a dangerous thing, as Sandgem Town swiftly learned. While the wars in Twinleaf are fought in propaganda, Sandgem's are paid in blood. Rowan's lab, one of the few bastions of research in Sinnoh, has been the subject of conquest after conquest. The town is occupied by a different faction nearly every day, and has been abandoned by most noncombatants.

| Ⓛ JUBILIFE CITY

Stuck between two Nox strongholds, the tenuous control of Jubilife has morphed into full-on occupation. The city's borders are very heavily guarded, and many dissidents have been pushed out or publicly identified by the omnipresent Lux media. The TV station, once a symbol of joy, is now an aggressively pro-Lux propaganda outlet. Even the Poketch building is being kept alive by Lux's payroll, now containing watchlists and hotlines with each new model.

| Ⓝ OREBURGH CITY

The fighting over Oreburgh ended in a Nox victory, but at what cost? The city's many plentiful mines have run out, most of its buildings have been demolished by raid after raid, and the museum's priceless relics all had to be jettisoned off for cash just to bring the city out of debt. The once-proud city has now devolved into a series of mining operations to squeeze out every last resource possible, dotted with numerous war camps.

| Ⓧ FLOAROMA TOWN

Floaroma Town is a small spot of beauty hidden within the carnage of Sinnoh. In many ways the town has shied away from conflict, refusing any diplomatic negotiations with either side and bitterly fighting them if they dare invade. The scars of battle have only recently been covered up with newly-returned flowers, and Floaroma's people are not too keen on the idea of reopening them.

| Ⓧ VALLEY WINDWORKS

The Valley Windworks has been called both Sinnoh's weakest and strongest location. While small, surrounded on all sides, and difficult to defend, the cheap and efficient energy it provides has made it untouchable. Both sides fear going after the plant and being denied power, but are perfectly willing to leave corporate spies in their wake. This spy game is currently in a deadlock, but one faction will have to come out on top eventually.

| Ⓧ ETERNA RUINS

Eterna Forest just can't catch a break this war. First it was razed to the ground after many brutal fights. Then it was converted into a Lux fortress and promptly besieged by Nox on all sides. The sieges only stopped when both sides' fighting had torn the fortress to pieces, leaving only destruction in its wake. Once famous for their beauty, the trees of Eterna Forest are now watered only with blood, sweat, and tears.

| Ⓧ ETERNA CITY

Where does the entire population of a fortress go once it has been destroyed? Why, right into the neighboring city, that is! Eterna City is bitterly divided between the Nox in control and the recent surge of Lux immigrants, but all of the bloodshed has made both sides weary. The town exists in a constant state of tense peace, enforced by massive walls and often tested by pranks played by each side's youth.

| Ⓛ HEARTHOME CITY

Hearthome City has, ironically, become the one biggest Lux military strongholds. Its contest hall now serves as a massive town hall, where declarations of war are signed and futile "peace talks" are made to appease the populace. The beauty of Amity Square has been ruined, as it has turned into a massive military training ground and tank yard. Despite their massive firepower, or possibly because of it, Hearthome's people have become quite skittish. Attendance at the Church of Arceus has nearly tripled as the war continues to drag on.

| Ⓧ SOLACEON TOWN

Solaceon Town has a history of being filled with old traditionalists. This makes the sudden influx of Nox fleeing from Hearthome quite troubling for the community. Many of its residents still fly Lux's banner despite the diverse political makeup of the town: the Day Care Center and Pokemart will only service Lux customers, and vigilante groups have been formed by the children of concerned Lux ranchers. Fed-up Nox residents often meet in secret in the Solaceon Ruins, planning to force their opposite numbers out of town.

| Ⓝ VEILSTONE CITY

Veilstone is the largest, and best defended, of Nox's many cities. Despite many Lux attacks it has yet to fall, and most residents have begun to adapt to a life constantly under siege. The former Galactic hideout, once a museum, has been further revamped into a research center. Could it hold the secrets Nox needs to rise above the anarchy of war?

| Ⓝ LAKE VALOR

Nox and Lux both patrolled Lake Valor quite often. It is an incredibly useful strategic location, after all, providing great views of Veilstone, Sunnyshore, and Pastoria. When they found each other and clashed, however, timely reinforcements from Veilstone spelled victory for Nox. It is now an important watching post, albeit one constantly besieged by Lux bitter at past defeats.

| Ⓧ PASTORIA CITY

Nox's Pastoria was marked as the next target of Lux's war machine. They figured it would be an easy victory. What they received instead was a drawn-out guerilla campaign. Small encampments have formed all over Pastoria's Great Marsh as Lux and Nox undergo skirmish after skirmish, leaving the town itself nearly completely abandoned. However, the Great Marsh's stability has been threatened by the constant agriculture and building. Could this spell the end of a natural wonder?

| Ⓝ CELESTIC TOWN

Celestic Town is a relic of the past in many ways. It is small and not very urbanized. It contains a shrine dedicated to Sinnoh's old legends. It also, unlike most of Sinnoh, isn't in complete shambles. While small and unable to contribute much to the war effort, it also has been left mostly untouched out of respect for its long history. Attacking Celestic Town is considered a mark of shame from both sides.

| Ⓝ CANALAVE CITY

A pier, a manufacturing plant, and a library stocked with important knowledge. These factors all contribute to making Canalave one of the most important cities in Sinnoh. It is where the region's past intersects its future, and is one of the few places where Sinnoh Nox can contact the outside world. It is very heavily fortified, however, and the populace has become somewhat xenophobic out of fear of invasion.

| Ⓝ IRON ISLAND

Iron Island has become the backbone of Sinnoh's industry. With Oreburgh mostly depleted, the many ores and mines of Iron Island have become integral to the development of housing and weaponry. However, the many dangerous wild Pokemon and the possibility of Lux naval raids make mining Iron Island a risky prospect. In addition, already the island shows signs of being overly mined: could Nox make Oreburgh's history repeat?

| Ⓧ LAKE ACUITY

The water of Lake Acuity is never frozen. How and why still remains a mystery. The area is mostly abandoned due to the frigid temperatures. The cavern at the lake's center is also empty, though it is a possibility that both Lux and Nox members have been using the area as a meeting place. On the other hand, it also provides shelter for travelers that have gotten lost in a snow storm. It's not unusual to see abandoned fire pits scattered across the cavern's floor.

| Ⓛ SNOWPOINT CITY

Chilly and frigid temperatures keep unprepared Nox forces away from the area. Its citizens are accustomed to its harsh winter blizzards. The amount of soldiers patrolling Snowpoint City is not very significant, partially due to the fact that the winter storms are what keeps the enemy out of the area. Despite being isolated from the war physically, however, its port and training facilities make it play a very important role to Lux.

| Ⓧ MT. CORONET

The center of Sinnoh has also become the center of its warfare. Its massive size has made it impossible to perfectly defend. For this reason, different areas of the mountain often have wildly different allegiances. The strategic value of being king of the hill is uncontested by any other territory, however, so much blood has been shed just to take a single piece of the peak. As funding the mountain assault is very costly, the general quality of life in Sinnoh has dipped.

| Ⓛ SUNYSHORE CITY

The eternal rival to Canalave City, Sunnyshore City is certainly more futuristic than its traditionalist opposition. Its port is bigger, it is home to many more modern conveniences, and its electric grid is some of the most efficient power in Sinnoh. However, its government is prone to lavish spending that often plunges it into debt. It is home to many of Sinnoh's richest, who enjoy its many marketplaces but grow annoyed at its high taxation.

| RESORT AREA

The Resort Area hasn't been a resort in a long, long time. Formerly a peaceful vacation spot for both sides, it is now home to incredibly tense negotiations between Lux and Nox diplomats. These discussions are war in everything but name, with both sides refusing to compromise and often breaking into explosively spectacular arguments.

| Ⓛ BATTLE FRONTIER

Located on an island between Johto and Sinnoh, the Sinnoh Battle Frontier used to be the place where the world’s top trainers would gather to prove themselves. The facilities still stand, but the island has grown, and the Frontier itself, apart from the Resort Area, is used to train and house Lux Soldiers. The massive island fort has become a center for battle-hardened Lux Veterans, and any Nox blindly attempting to invade the island will find themselves being steamrolled by one of the five Frontier Brains that watch over the island’s day-to-day affairs.

Board Information & Statistics

Board Description
SINNOH

With Nox disjointed and Lux focusing resources on more stable territory, not much focus has been put on the Sinnoh front. What it lacks in formality and support, though, it makes up for in sheer brutality. Periods of quiet explode into horrific battlefields, leaders come into power only to fade into obscurity days later, and territories change hands daily. Will this wild battlefront ever be tamed, or will its fury never rest?
