Some people--many people--believe the Pokemon League did the right thing. They spoke of justice, equality, strength, and a new world order, one where crime syndicates wouldn't terrorize the people, and the regions wouldn't have to rely on a single, improbable teenager to save them all from a grisly fate.
But as such things often do, it all went wrong. First, the Pokemon League offered its strength to help the gym leaders defend their towns and cities, and if the offer wasn't accepted, they brought in their strongest trainers to win them over by force if necessary. From the beginning, there were rebels fighting against the League for their liberty and soon their lives. Now known as Lux, the Pokemon League implemented new laws to curtail the rebels: curfews, identification, censorship, surveillance, everything in the name of protecting the peace.
Even as opportunists and idealists joined them to help achieve their dream, dissenters left Lux in disbelief at what it had become. The rebellion grew in full force, calling itself Nox. Acting as revolutionaries, guerilla soldiers, and terrorists, Nox will accept no peace, no compromise, not until Lux's tyranny comes to an end. In fear, Lux cracked down even further on human rights, and Nox responded with increased violence and cynicism.
With Pokémon World split into two sides, and the fight for justice and harmony raging on, the much sought after Unova region has declared itself a Democratic Republic and taken a staunchly neutral stance, supplying both sides with resources to ensure that they remain untargeted. Still, there are many on both sides of the war that believe that the Republic cannot exist, that it threatens their ideals, for how can they be right if Lux and Nox supporters can band together in the name of peace in any region?
The world hangs in in the balance here in predormitum, will it come to its senses and sue for peace, or will it succumb to further bloodshed and chaos in the name of what is right?Welcome to the Pokemon World. Good luck on your great adventure!
