"The Whirl Islands were once a series of simple settlements for Johto Nox, but lately Archer has taken quite an interest in making the islands his. While his developments have been great for the islands' profitability, they have also received some very unwanted attention from Lux. They intend to squash the growing Rocket presence before it becomes too large and threatening. Crippling their long-term rivals by once more dividing Olivine and Cianwood is the icing on this little war-cake."

After a year of tension and hostility, the Johto peace may be pushed to its limits. The Battle of the Whirl Islands has begun!

LUX: Seize control of the Whirl Islands. You are part of the initial wave, airdropped in to try and secure the islands as the great Lux fleet moves in. Attack from the land, air, seas: anywhere you can as you try to navigate this small cluster of islands and rout its population. With the diverse amount of battlefields, surely you can find a fight for any situation!


NOX: Keep back the Lux that are trying to invade the Islands. Whether a Nox guerilla itching for a fight, a simple citizen protecting your home, or a Rocket looking after your organization's interests, Lux's war machine is dangerously close and it's up to you to stop it in its tracks. Use any means necessary, and take full advantage of your home turf.

NEW TO PRE 2.0: BATTLE MISSIONS!

Before, missions were given as placeholders to empty bracket spots. Now, however, they're a fully-fleshed part of the PRE battling experience! Completion of a mission gives 500 WEP to the side who finished it, and finishing all five will give an extra moveslot static! All you need to do to take a mission is sign up with a partner and start a topic. A user can only take one mission per battle, and you cannot use the character who is actively fighting. These missions are to represent other skirmishes and noncombatant work, rather than the mainland fighting of the battle itself. Once the mission is completed, post in here to cash in your WEP.

(A sidenote about the Republic: while they cannot directly enter battles, they can take missions on either side of their choosing. In addition, they can donate to whichever side of the battle they intend on aiding. However, each Republic character can only help one side. No double dipping!

{Lux missions}The White Fleet Rises: Rather than charge into battle with the rest of the advance guard, some Lux have stayed behind to lead the great Lux fleet to Whirl Island. The tide of the battle could change significantly if these warships arrive on schedule . . . but a canny enough Nox might stay back to try and disrupt it.
Needed: 1 Lux, 1 Nox

Eye in the Sky: The Whirl Islands are a chaotic mess, and Lux doesn't have nearly enough recon set up for it. It would be a huge help if a pair of Lux operatives could take to the air and spy on the islands, so Lux Command would know where to best drop off their ships and soldiers.
Needed: 2 Lux

Rocket Recon: Archer's been building up his base below the tunnels of the Whirl Islands, and if he isn't stopped soon there'll be Rockets crawling all over the region again. Your goal is simple: find any Rocket documentation you can, steal their secrets, and let our people know how readily Hoenn Nox is willing to harbor criminals.

Lights Out For You: If word gets out to Olivine and Cianwood about this attack, we'll be surrounded on all sides. Best way to stop this is to kill all comm lines directly. Find the Nox communication relays and take them down as quickly as possible, but beware of sentries.

Building on the Beach: We need to set up an advance base for when we move the bulk of our forces into the area. We've sent you a few easy to set up tents and basic supplies for kicking up a simple barracks: it won't be too nice, but it'll do in a pinch.

{Nox missions}Nox Rescue Team: The civilians are vulnerable left to their own devices. Whether out of concern for their health or their worth, getting them off of the island is top priority. Use boats, Pokemon, even dragging them out of their homes if you have to, so long as it spares them having to endure this war.

Walled In: If only there was enough time to kick up a proper barricade. Emergency setups will have to do instead. Use any means necessary to erect barricades around the island, or else we might be in for one hell of a rude awakening when Lux shows up.

Gotta Go Fast: Lux is bearing down on us faster than we ever expected. We've got no chance of stopping them, but we can slow them down as much as possible. Distract the boats, drag them into whirlpools, engage them against all odds . . . if it has a chance of stopping the, you need to take it ASAP.
Needed: Leaf & 1 Lux

Camp Refugee: We've got some refugee camps set up for the civvies, but they're horribly understaffed and undersupplied. Its not glamorous work, but we'll need some of you to go escort some supplies to the refugees. Lux won't give you too hard of a time, but just in case stay on your guard.
Needed: 2 Nox

Rocket Secrets: There are too many of these Lux poking around in Archer's tunnels! The Boss isn't going to be too happy about this snooping, and it would be well within our interests to stop them from getting any closer. Fight these Lux off with any means necessary or Rocket will be in for some bumpy days.
