BACKGROUND Terran was born in Lavaridge on 3/14/1973, and is currently at the ripe old age of 40. He lived a fairly standard life in his younger years, never really caring much for anything but travel and relaxation. Then everything changed when his father, a hard-working construction worker, returned from an overseas job in Sinnoh. When he returned he brought home a young Turtwig, which the previously-apathetic Terran quickly became fast friends with. They played together, explored together, and even trained together. The hot-headed Turtwig took on all opponents, and Terran learned he had a knack for strategy and analysis. They travelled all over Hoenn, took on the League, and once done with their home region became globetrotters. They explored the world for at least 5 years, until Terran settled down and got married at the age of 20. He had a child, Elliot, three years later, but sadly not all was the well for the new couple. Tensions escalated between the two due to a variety of issues, ranging from general incompatibility to a series of very poor decisions. The first of these was Terran's decision to do work for an organization known as Team Magma. As a young idealist, he was suckered in by the promises of changing the world. As a father, he was suckered in by the promises of making a lot of money. Times were tough, after all, and for raising a small, somewhat sickly child Terran needed all of the money he could get. He was never 100% sure what he was working for, but at that point in his life he wasn't much for asking questions either. For this reason, he was shocked and appalled when the legendary Groudon was unleashed. He left as soon as such events occurred, and while his wife was furious she agreed it was a problem they would work through together. Unfortunately, their relationship was never the same. Tensions ran higher than ever before, and only escalated further after they moved to Unova for a change of pace. They reached their zenith when Elliot wandered into a Patrat nest at the age of 7 and was badly mauled. That was the last straw for Terran's wife, who felt Terran and his trainer's ways were a bad influence on their son. She demanded a divorce and won, with full custody. Now without a home, a purpose, or a direction, Terran resumed his world-wandering ways in a cycle only broken by the war coming to his doorstep. Despite his initial efforts to lie low and avoid it, he found himself caught up in the Sootopolis protests and lost an arm trying to defend his people. From then on Terran was elevated to the rank of martyr, becoming a brief yet powerful propaganda figure. This reputation, combined with his strategic know-how and charisma, paved the way for Terran to quickly rise through the Nox ranks. Now one of the two leaders of Hoenn, Terran is prepared to end the war no matter what he needs to do. While his heart is distraught at the devastation and pain Hoenn is going through, he is sure just a bit more pushing will be enough to force Lux into surrendering. OCCUPATION Once a simple hiker, the experiences and limb loss that Terran had experienced will forever change him. Terran has been through enough to consider himself a Veteran of this war, and vows not to stop until the war is finally over. Even if he's the one who has to end it. ALLEGIANCE Seeing his home region occupied, driven to ruin by hubris, crushed beneath the boot of those who think they know best . . . Terran had enough of that shit when Team Magma disbanded. Not about to see history repeat, Terran firmly aligned himself with Nox. Considering he and his senior leader, Alyssa, have forced out much of Lux's presence, things appear to be going quite well for them. TRAITS [/style] | |
