The engines hummed dully but to the ordinary people, they wouldn't have heard a single sound. Shamees skimmed through the profile of the man he was to speak with today, keeping his ears sharp for suspicious noises. He'd read enough information about him. Him and the company he worked for. It had only been a week since Lux was contacted by this foreign organization from Orre. Shamees wasn't as ignorant as the many were here of the desolated region who'd never even heard of Orre before. He knew the "troubled" kind of places the best. The kind that needed his services the most. A country in peace had no need for a soldier like Shamees after all and Orre fit the bill of troubled. Files about Orre were stashed in another folder where three other profiles were. He was going to meet them again soon and depending on how well things go today, there would be some minor changes around Hoenn. It was hard to say what could come out of this but regardless of the result, Lux had nothing to lose. They needed nothing from Orre and it seemed Orre was taking a desperate approach. Her future was hanging in the balance between two, conflicting parties: the region's representatives and Cipher. "Enjoying the food, Tika?" he asked quietly, not taking his eyes away from the papers. On the other table, Tika, a sentinel who jumped in at the chance to accompany him, had plates all by herself. She was aware of the situation but it wouldn't be of surprise if she'd momentarily forgotten about it with all the food. One party was unaware of the other party's presence in the regions. By sheer luck, the representatives were able to speak with him before Cipher could; however, if they thought the initiative gave them the advantage, they were wrong. Shamees was going to give each party a chance to speak. Just one chance. They didn't deserve any more than that. NOTES Shamees - Tika - Ardos first. The private jet dropped by to pick Ardos up so he should be on the way to their cabin. I guess Noka can say there was a knock on the door or something by the end of her post to let Ardos come in. Unless Ardos fancied breaking down doors. Shamees won't appreciate that. Only Balendin can get away from door breaking.[/style] | [atrb=valign,bottom][style=font-size:100px; line-height: 60px;]❞[/style] |
