Although she was no stranger to waking up early, if she had restless sleeps the night before it was a bit of a task that she greatly disliked. Hoenn’s Leader had been called an ‘Early Bird’ before but in truth she never made a point to wake up before others...she simply relenished her energy on smaller doses of sleep than others, and was able to stay up for longer without suffering from exhaustion...immediately at least. Unfortunately, though, last night she had not made a point to stay up. Instead, her sleep was restless. Riddled by fits of dreams crashing over her that resembled the events of the past week, she had gotten little peace. She’d felt ill more than once during the night and found herself in a cold sweat that was only cured by her pacing and diverting her mind. No dobt the Canalave Innkeeper that had housed her for the night thought that something was terribly amiss, as her room was directly below Alyssa’s and the wooden floor creaked with every step the slight, white-haired Leader had taken. Shaking her head, Alyssa continued on, pedalling the useful, collapsable bike she’d bought from Rydel years ago. Though she’d needed to take it in for maintinence more than once in the ten years she’d owned it, it had never failed her. It folded up nicely as needed, either to be transported or hidden until needed. Rydel’s ingenius designs never cease to amaze me... she thought, smiling a bit, spotting her destination on the horizon. Sunyshore City. On a normal day, people would have told her she was absolutely insane, venturing into a Lux-controlled City alongside somebody that had been driven from that City – her friend, the former Gym Leader of Sunyshore Gym, Volkner. Their meeting yesterday in Canalave had proved to be a place to plot. Although recent events would have made a weaker-minded person run and hide in their house, it only increased Alyssa’s gutsiness (somehow). After revealing to Volkner that she was an expert lockpick, he’d become incredibly interested and wished to learn the trade...start to, at least. She’d promised to teach him, and she couldn’t deny that she’d ‘helped’ him suggest they try breaking into Sunyshore’s Gym. It was a bit of a suicide mission, but it wasn’t as though they were trying to take the Gym. Not yet, anyway. Volkner would be able to use the skills he gained in today’s lesson in the future, if he gained the means to storm Sunyshore and reclaim it. If they were lucky, the locks on the Gym would remain unchanged, allowing Volkner – whose memory served him in something like this, given his interest in mechanics – to use the knowledge in the future. Although Volkner probably wouldn’t do much to disguise his appearance, Alyssa had donned her false identity. With her name becoming well-known through all the regions for more reason than one, it had been appropriate for her to adopt such. Now, she was clad in medium gray-blue suit and pants with faint chalk-stripes, dark leather shoes, a white shirt, violet tie, glasses, and to top the look off she had a short, brown wig. She looked like a teenage boy, and complete with her false ID card, she had assumed the guise of Wolfgang Mienrad. Hopefully Volkner would recognize her, for she hadn’t informed him that she would do this. It was a bit of a last-minute decision, anyway... As she pulled into the entrance of Sunyshore, she stayed mostly behind the large pillars supporting the first leg of the upper path of the City. She leaned her bike against a the rocky wall that had been carved to be a bit of a bike rack, and locked it in place. Walking forward, hands in her pockets, she leaned against the picket fence bordering the sea...not quite in front of the Pokemon Center, but near it, as they’d agreed. He will be here soon...
