• Though it’s a courtesy rarely extended nowadays, particularly in a position we currently stand in, I thank you, Sapphire, for taking the time to respond to my letter. I was concerned you would not. That, regardless of the response of your letter, is more than I was hoping for.

• You seem to mistake my wanting to have more of an understanding, however slight, between the both of us for wanting to do something along the lines of lay out our entire blueprint for the plans we have in store for our Lux and Nox respectively for the opposing faction to analyze. That’s far from the point. You have no reason to trust me outside of what Lux has fed you in your sudden ascension to claim the title Champion for yourself. We both want peace for Hoenn, and we are two sides of the same coin in the respect that what we desire can only be attained, as we see it, by eliminating those that do not share our views.

• If we were to sit down and discuss what we both want to achieve in Hoenn, you would learn that I want nothing less than to shake Lux’s grip on Hoenn and work to return the region to what it was before the war started and I will do what I must to attain that. Without Lux presence, Nox has no reason to exist, and Hoenn Nox is no exception to that.

• The idea I have to see Hoenn removed from the war in order to preserve what little we have left of the region that once was is childish. It is naïve. However, I hold on to the belief that it can be attained, but that will not happen with people standing against each other and razing innocent lives to the ground more than they already have.

• You also seem to speak as though you assume I will kill those that don’t share my ideals without a second thought and will attack people that just want out of this war-torn region if they can get it. I don’t blame them, and I have no reason to stop them. Suppressing their efforts to make their own life better is something I would encourage them to do.

• If you want assurance, I won’t waste both our times beating around the bush trying to guess what I could say or do to give you proof that my only intentions have been outlined in our correspondence. Instead, tell me something I can do or a question I could answer that you will judge my good will upon. Lastly, I regret that you will not lay down your arms when your enemy will so willingly do so before you despite your response. During the course of the meeting, I will remain disarmed before you, my enemy. For all I know, in that time you could have a gun pointed at my chest until we are finished speaking. That will not change what I do or say. (I would hope it didn’t come to that, but that doesn’t change what I said).

• As I stated, I will do whatever I can to free Hoenn from the terror of the war as much as I possibly can, even if that means jeopardizing my own life to potentially save or better the condition of the lives of the thousands of innocent civilians that are suffering because of Lux and Nox clashing over conflicting ideals.

• I meant it.
