[/justify][/blockquote][/blockquote]The Pokemon Center of Cerulean City was quiet - contrary to what she would expect of a normal Pokemon Center. Normally, she would expect one to be bustling with trainers and pokemon coming in and out. However, that was not the case now. Was it because of the war? No... The city was Lux-controlled, and Lux wanted to make sure its citizens were well-looked-after, right? Why would the Pokemon Center be empty?
The demographics of Cerulean had most likely altered since the war, especially since the beautiful waters surrounding it had been polluted with disgusting waste from Lux's mass production for their troops. In Jian's opinion, if Lux cared so much for their people and their happiness, wouldn't they have taken better care of the water rather than pinning the blame on the need for more production?
It's vile... the young red-head thought with a frown, looking to the Porygon floating by her head as she leaned against the desk upon which a PC was perched. its hexagonal, normally unblinking eyes were closed as though in deep thought. "....Edge?" she asked, blinking in slight concern at her Virtual Pokemon.
The white eyes opened and stared at Jian, before a small nod came from its crystalline-looking head and it looked at the PC. The way the files on the storage system were simply astounding. Though she normally would access her personal PC for use, today she was more interested in Bill's PC - the main storage unit all trainers 'shared' in a sense that separated their data when input so that a correct output could be received.
Fascinating... she couldn't help but think, remembering why she was even here in the first place.
Her goal was simple - with the help of Edge and the programs on the flash drive within the PC, attempt to hack Bill's PC by back-routing the storage system to its point or origin - Bill Sonozaki's home PC. She trembled with the thought of the massive amount of information she could learn from him. Or, in this case, his personal files.
"Remember Edge..." she told the Porygon as it floated to a USB slot, poking the sharp corner of its nose into a spare one. "...we don't want to draw attention to ourselves." As Edge closed its eyes, Jian nodded and looked to the PC screen, which was overrun by lines of code in Binary before they converted to Octal, then finally Hexadecimal as her pokemon took shape on her screen. No bigger than her fist, her pokemon's physical body was still beside her, but its virtual coded self was on her computer.
Diving into the file of Bill's PC together, she activated two programs on her flash drive and set to work at entering the normally hidden back-door to Bill's home PC.
Porygon was working on solidifying the connection with lines of code, while she continued to break down the immediate defenses surrounding anything outside of the Pokemon Center's files, but instead getting into the internet mainframe of Cerulean City and its northern Cape, where she knew Bill's house was.
There you are...
After minutes of working, she finally found herself at a potential point of entry to Bill's home computer.
Bringing up a small dialogue box to communicate with Edge, she typed 'Alright, I need more of your help now.'
She allowed the pokemon to work in silence until it sent her indication that she could get in. Seizing the opportunity, they breached the barrier (a strong one, too) that had been carefully laid around his defenses.
'I thought that wouldn't work.' she typed to her pokemon. 'It took you longer than usual.' She imagined that had she said it straight to Edge's face, its eyes would have narrowed unhappily in frustration. She grinned all that mattered now, though, was that she was in. It was time to see what she could learn.
Adjusting her stance to be more straight as she worked, she set about shifting through Bill's personal files looking for something to read about and learn.
