As Ruby finished his assessment the female trainer asked a request of him, “Heh I thought the same thing,it limits me more than a little, but I agree. You really don’t know how to make it easy for a guy though. Rhy stay on guard and don’t let the speed confuse you work with what you know.” Ruby stated refusing to take his eyes off the mischievous ice type who was running to the water. As the Weavile dived Ruby raised an eyebrow that pool would become a pain as the battle went on. But he felt it was more important to focus on the now at the moment. He expected a hit and run Ice-Shard tactic, but what the pokemon did astonished him. “Well now, that’s pretty incredible a Weavile using Surf, a very neat trick, but if Rhy went down every time someone used a water attack he’d have lost most of his battles. Rhy you know how to deal with a Surf.” Ruby crossed his arms and watched his Rhyperior at work. The pokemon tucked its arms and legs in before his entire body began to rotate rapidly, the pokemon then launched itself again using another Drill Run clashing… No blasting through the large wave taking little to no damage ending on the other side of the tower of water. The impact and the water itself didn’t affect the horned pokemon, because at the speed Rhyperior was rotating the water didn’t have a chance to stick or even crash. It was being propelled off as soon as and possibly even before the water came in contact with him. Upon exiting the wave on the opposite side Rhyperior glistened, “Now let’s give him a scare. Rock the area with Megahorn.” Ruby’s smiled upon first thought one would think Ruby was insane for ordering a Megahorn on a pokemon that was underwater, but in reality he was far from it. Rhyperior extended his body once again releasing himself from the Drill Run stance and slammed his now glowing horn on the ground causing the ground from where Rhyperior stood to the pool of water to open up slightly making a very small new route of the water, although since the route was so small it made a minimal dent in the water level. Ruby knew if he’d have been able to use earthquake he could have gotten the job done instantly, but he was a man of his word and wouldn’t harm the environment although he believed attacks like Earthquake focused more on the bond and control the trainer had with their pokemon other than the general nature of the move. “As you know Alyssa being a trainer is all about control and maximizing your pokemon’s potential. My pokemon and I have a bond that transcends just control, I can honestly say we are completely in sync when we battle. That’s how we’re able to use moves like Earthquake without toppling towns.” Ruby didn’t want to sound uppity, but he knew the girl had a history with the move, in truth he was just trying to reassure her especially while all this bad press circulated around her about it. “You shouldn’t fear the move, you can control it, or at least that’s what I think.” The trainer spoke calmly; he knew he had a bad habit with his tone that made people think he was acting superior, so he paid extra attention to his tone while he spoke trying his best not to sound uppity.
