POST SAMPLE

It was particularly gray today, a rare occasion in the normally beautiful town of lilycove. Built next to the gleaming ocean, Lilycove was shrouded in a thin layer of morning fog. But, just like any day, the children were outside, their mothers warm inside the small houses, preparing dinner, as always. Ruby's mother used to do that too, on a cold day like this, he would return to his house to find a bowl of hot soup ready for him. Although he missed it, he didn't have time to be thinking about that, so he just shoved the thought out of his mind.

Fortree was the next destination, everything seemed alright so far. The war had just started, maybe things would be okay in Hoenn. No news is good news. But regardless, he traveled the region once more, to check on the towns and make sure people were being safe. Although Mauville was slightly disappointing, most places were fine so far. Everyone was safe, but everything seemed older. Grayer. Depressing, even. People scurried down the street alone, with not so much as a glance at anyone else.

He was happy to see that the children hadn't been affected, they were still training pokemon. That was one of the only happy sights left. Ruby dawdled past, watching two young kids compete with their pokemon. The victor was easily predicted, one of the children was pushing the other's forces back further and further, until finally the two pokemon collapsed. Ruby was caught off guard when the winner didn't stop ordering attacks. Immediately he went to intervene, but it was too late. The boy had been sliced on the cheek by a razor leaf, and the other kids just laughed and scampered away after Ruby knelt down next to the other boy.

He was a strong child, Ruby could tell. His eyes were full of water and yet he had shed no tears. The boy's gaze was fixed on the bullies, slamming the doors to their houses. Ruby didn't ask questions, instead he just looked at the child.

"Don't worry. They're jerks." He mumbled, gripping a pokeball and releasing Curly, his chansey. The pink pokemon just looked sympathetically at the child's cut, and then to her trainer. Ruby nodded, and Curly quietly used a heal pulse. The cuts closed up slowly. The boy touched the fresh skin where the scratch had been. "What goes around, comes around."

What goes around comes around. That's what his mom always said. And it was true. Those kids could do things like that everyday, but it wouldn't matter. Someday, who knows when or where, those kids would get the same thing, humiliation. It wouldn't be revenge, it would be karma. That's the way things work. What goes around comes around. Yeah.... If you cause hurt hoenn, or any of my friends... Lux, it's coming right back at you.
