The boy had no pillow to lay his head on, instead forced to sleep curled up on the cold hard floor. His bad leg was sprawled out behind him, obvious to any outside observers as he tossed and turned. Occasionally he mumbled to himself in his sleep, sounding more nervous and uneasy with each passing minute. There were small, wet spots on the ground by his face: on closer observation, the boy was sobbing. It was obvious that the boy was in the grasp of a nightmare. Nobody tossed and turned in their sleep so suddenly for any other reason. Nobody, when sleeping, would have such a worried look on their face otherwise. But in this basement there was nobody for him. The nice woman he thought would help him proved violent and murderous. His Pokemon had followed him to this doom, but kept them in their Pokeballs for their own safety. He didn't even want to know what Merope would do to them down here. He didn't even know the white-haired slender man's deal, but he didn't even WANT to know. He was in a cell without much food, without any beds, without anything. Just the four walls and whatever horrors lied outside them. Occasionally he heard voices, and he didn't like the sound of them at all. It was frigid in the night time and sweltering in the day, as characteristic of a basement in the summer. And there were still wounds from where the Staraptor had grabbed him, which caused him pain every time his back touched the floor or walls. As he slept, he couldn't help but wonder. Was the real nightmare what he saw in his sleep, or what awaited him when he woke up? OOC: Now this is happening TAGS: Rylan WORD COUNT:uncaring |
