OPERATION: BULLDOZE
[/justify]"Olivine City has yet to recover from the massive damage during the Battle of Olivine. The lighthouse is in shambles. Debris lies around the entire city, making it hazardous for anyone to be outside. Citizens of Olivine City, it's time to start rebuilding our city to its former glory. Put aside your allegiances for the good of our homes. It's time to bulldoze all the signs of ruin in our city and start building anew."
It's time to start rebuilding Olivine City. Below, you will find prompts to partake in as open threads. You will not receive WEP as an award. Therefore, do not treat these as true missions, but please only claim one. If you're stumped for a thread or having some trouble finding an open one, here's the place to be.
- You do not need my permission to claim a prompt.
- Please only select one prompt from the list below.
- There is no limit as to how many people can join a prompt. In fact, you may treat any prompt as an open thread.
- I suspect it will take 2-3 months irl time to be sufficient for reconstruction to be completed.
- Upon full completion of all prompts, Olivine City will be rebuilt to functionality again, if not its former glory.
because guys this place has been broken practically since a month into the birth of this site
I. A single Hyper Beam was all it took to demolish the Olivine Lighthouse. It's dangerous for ships to be at sea without it. If you don't have any building experience, grab a shovel and start moving the debris aside. If you do, then hop to it and start laying out the lighthouse's foundation again. Be careful though. I suspect Lux did not leave the city cleanly. Keep your eyes peeled for traps.
II. Hoenn's Abyss did well at chasing Lux out of the city's walls, but now we've got a big damn fissure in the ground to fix. Rumor has it that some careless children were playing by its sides and slid in. Go down there and investigate. Watch out for hostile ground types that have made the fissure their home. When you're done making sure all things are clear, get someone to start filling the crack with cement.
III. We have a shipment of food that's arriving north from MooMoo farms. It's likely that Lux will be pouring out of neighboring Ecruteak to intercept the cargo. Make your way up to MooMoo farms and escort the carts of food safely to Olivine. I recommend taking the grassy route to remain unseen. Use your best judgment and good luck.
IV. There are still hungry people in the streets of Olivine City. We have a new soup kitchen opening up near the gym. We're going to need all the help we can get, whether it be in the kitchen cooking up the meals or serving the food to the hungry. We'll try to fit you in where you believe your talents will be put to use the best. No promises though.V. Out of all the infrastructure in Olivine, it's the streets that are in the worst condition. There's trash everywhere, debris, don't be surprised if you see tumbleweed. Grab a broom and start sweeping down the streets. Water Pokémon will be especially helpful with washing down the filth. You might not be getting paid, but it's all in the name of seeing Olivine shine again.
VI. We're gathering medical supplies for the sick and injured. The Pokémon Center has been temporarily converted into a hospital. The best medicines in Johto are imported from Cianwood. Sail to the island city and retrieve some medicine. Come back safely. There are some unruly Tentacruel in the waters that you might have to watch out for. Oh, and have fun with those mine bombs.
VII. Reconstruction isn't for free. The PokéMart will help bring a steady flow of income into the city. The Mart's almost been fully rebuilt. Now all that's left is restocking the shelves. I hope you're strong and good at carrying boxes, or your Pokémon are. And does somebody have a Persian? We've got a Rattata problem.
VIII. The gym was left only in slightly better conditions than Olivine's lighthouse. On the other hand, it was agreed-upon that the gym's original puzzle layout was dull. Its destruction opened up an opportunity for a bit of renovation. We're asking people to come up with a new floor design for a gym puzzle, but you're also going to have to build it. Have fun.IX. Crime rates have skyrocketed, but we're going to start tackling them. Rumor has it that an underground gang has been calling the shots in Olivine. Well, not anymore. We've gotten word that they're centralized in the basement of the Olivine Café. We don't have any word on what they're up to, so you're going in blind. Sorry about that.X. Amphy was rescued before the demolition of the original lighthouse. However, Amphy's mental state is not in a very good condition. The Ampharos has become quite a handful. We need some people to babysit watch over the electric Pokémon. Amphy's behavior has become rather unpredictable, but I think he just needs a little bit of tender love and care.
