It was a pleasant evening if he was honest, the sun was going down behind him and a warm breeze was going through the area, leaves teased by the air and dancing in a golden light. It didn't make him exactly ecstatic that he was out here right now though, lovely as it was. He really didn't like to travel at night, especially in Johto or Hoenn now. There was too much of a chance in his opinion that someone trigger happy might come across him and aim for a promotion by taking down the suspicious man traveling through the darkness. Of course, he wasn't much safer anywhere else what with the curfews, but he had documentation that could protect him from that. Still, the sun wasn't down quite yet and things were enjoyable enough for now.
The Lake of Rage was his destination this time. It had been a while since he had come by here, almost two years now in fact, and things hadn't changed much. He remembered that he had stumbled across a man then, feeding his pokemon, a Sandslash if memory served, some berries that he had collected. It felt like it had been much longer than it truly had, but he didn't dwell on it. He had other things to do today. A mission.
Yes, someone had tipped Lux off that something shady was going on in the Lake Of Rage area, and he was the one that had been delegated to handling it. His current mission was finding out just what in the world was going on down here, then reporting all that back. Hopefully it would be as simple as it seemed to be with his connections into Nox. Even with his connections though, he still had his pokemon with him as he always did. Nothing out yet, but a hand rested at his side near them just in case. Even if Nox still thought him a collector under its banner, he was taking no chances.
For now though it was simply a walk towards the lake proper. He was moving at an average pace through the trees, branches and bushes idly pushed out of the way by a gloved hand to speed his movement along. Hopefully he could stick to the trees long enough to hide himself until he was truly forced out into the open. He wasn't as useless out in the open as he had once been, but he still preferred to work from someplace hidden. It makes things easier if escape is needed.
