NOX: AIDEN The finest steel has to go through the hottest fire  |
FULL NAME Aiden West. He likes his name. He likes his name a lot. Although his first name means "little fire," he doesn't consider the former descriptor as a degradation. The biggest fires start with the smallest of sparks. BACKGROUND His birthdays were the only things stitching his fragmented childhood together. Although his parents were imperfect and sparse in presence, they never faltered when it came to the anniversary of his birth. Every year, they purchased fireworks. First it was sparklers, then it was firecrackers, next were the colorful display tubes, and eventually the powerful Roman Candles. It was in those vibrant, focused moments of familial togetherness that he discovered his love for explosions and fire. However, as the years went on his fireworks dulled, and so did his appreciation for the hollow existence of his family. Aiden left in his teens. He is now 24. Abandoning his hometown of Celadon City, he lived a nomadic lifestyle, scraping by with his friendly demeanor and charms. During this time he was fortunate enough to claim ownership over an Eevee. He named it Sorbet as she was the only one that could cool him down during those angry nights, ones filled with curses and shivering fists and dented walls. Aiden's bitterness could have stemmed from his parents; their faces had already began to blur. It would be wrong to lay all the blame on his kin. He was mad at himself. Mad that he was so prideful enough to run away from home, so filled with an ego that begged him to endure the bare bones life he had welcomed with open arms. Nevertheless, in order to justify his decisions, he began to believe that he had made the right choice. His own ideology solidified, hardened by his experiences. In the end, while Aiden grew up to be sociable, charismatic man, he could not discard his less than satisfactory tendencies. It wasn't until he officially joined Nox's ranks that he did away with a part of his hostility. His fiery temper remains. But, is that such a bad thing in a war as chaotic as this? OCCUPATION Kindler. It's not that he's a pyromaniac, although he may be very close to being one. He just appreciates the beauty of a well-lit flame- especially if it's burning a ALLEGIANCE Nox. Their ideals align with Aiden's as he values his freedom to the umpteenth degree. He had noticed the increasing hold the Lux governments had over their people (including him) and the hapless contradiction between their original goals and the war they were fighting. Eventually, he became tangled within the Nox ideology, the faction and from there, his talents truly began to shine. TRAITS |

SECRETS: ▪ 80% of all wildfires are started by humans. Or was it 70? 9 out of 10? Regardless of how accurate the statistic is, Aiden has added to it. All it took was a stray spark here, a wandering wisp there; he was never caught, but he could never escape the wretched guilt that had anchored in his heart. ▪ Off-kilter to a certain degree, he wishes the war would never end. His passion for pyrotechnics is valued: something he could not say before. He does dislike the bloodshed, but he is conflicted by the praise he receives for his works and the absolute horror he is able to contribute to the war. ▪ Contrary to popular belief, he detests cigarettes. He had tried one before and found out he was allergic to the smoke. ▪ Aiden cannot count the amount of fire alarms he has caused in his lifetime. ▪ The one way to his heart is through his favorite brand of hot sauce: Char-Char-Chople Sauce. He carries a bottle of it around everywhere. |
