Once a peaceful, resort area in Johto, has been plagued by the insufferable rebels known as Nox. On August 18th this year, the rebels swarmed the beaches of this otherwise unprepared town and wreaked havoc on the civilians. Without much warning, Lux was severely lacking in the resources to fend off the invasion. Nox ruthlessly won this small town, which has now been reduced to ruin. The sky was clear and the time was early morning when the first ship entered the bay town, which carried approximately 1500 Nox foot soldiers. As the boat docked, the warriors flooded out, setting up their striking position before the sun rose in the sky. By the time Lux had been alerted to the situation, the Nox battalion was almost to the city’s borders. More ships arrived shortly after bringing in a fleet of approximately 10,000 men and women fighters to the shores of Olivine on that dreadful morning. Without much warning at all, Lux’s forces scrambled to set up a defensive position. They held out for a while, but the Nox forces were just too great in numbers. Nox surged through the first line of defensive, pushing Lux back into a corner. It looked like the intended target of the attack was Olivine Lighthouse. Sources recalled that the “[Nox soldiers who infiltrated the lighthouse] saved Amphy before tearing it down in a downpour of debris and rubble.” There were more than a handful of big names fighting in this battle, for both sides. Some names to note on the Nox side would include Alyssa Akiyama, alleged new Nox Leader for the Hoenn region, Gold Harberlein, and Silver Corleone, the duo of Johto. They ravaged the Lux forces that they came into contact with without fail. In fact, Alyssa tore through poor Wally as if she was a hot knife cutting through butter, using the help of her trusty Flygon. Alyssa was headed straight for the lighthouse off the bat, but Wally was there to defend it. Sadly, he was no match for the might of the dragon-wielding trainer and fell to her mercy. Gold met Xander Cromwell on the battlefield, but not for long. Xander fled to help out in the air before too long, leaving an open passage for Gold to plow on through up until he met Platinum, who had previously pushed Edge, a Nox soldier, back into submission. Sadly, after her Pokemon had expended most of their strength on Edge, Gold easily took care of them, advancing to help his fellow soldiers tear down the Lighthouse. Silver fought Leaf, but it seemed like a lost cause from the beginning for our very own Lux princess. Her Riachu against Silver’s Tyranitar? Who wouldn’t run away in terror, surrendering to fight another day? Leaf, bold as her friend Red, fought with a vigor that should ignite all of us, but it was for naught. Silver’s might over powered her, and he advanced to help with the Lighthouse. This tragic day will forever be remembered as the day that Nox showed how much they could do, that they had no boundaries, and needed to be stopped. If it was ever a question before, now it was certain. The League has put out a press statement, highlighting the faults of the defense and how they were taking more precautions to thwart Nox. They will now be on the offensive more often. The conditions in Olivine have drastically dropped. They’re in a state of post-destruction reconstruction and crime rates have escalated. Lux has no hold there anymore, and thus no police. Be careful and fully prepared if you’re heading to the area anytime soon.[/style] |
