Archer (Totodile) vs. Agatha (Crobat)

((Guess I'll go first. I need something more recent for the Check in.))

This scene wasn't new for Agatha. The huge screaming crowds, the rectangle shaped battlefield, the bright lights illuminating the stadium, she knew it all well. Too well for comfort really. She personally favored the quietness and tension that came with her Elite Four arena but that was just what she was used to.

It has been a long time since she last fought using regulations. It was the only true way to fight if you asked her, but war demands more of a creative approach when it came to battles. Such battles weren't her cup of tea. Oh well, time to put all external thoughts away. It was time to fight!

Agatha hoped up to the Trainer platform that sat on one side of the rectangle, her Crobat flying into the middle. The old woman eyed her opponent, looking him up and down. He brought a Totodile, a thing most opponents would scoff and laugh at. Once upon a time Agatha would have too, but certain...events have taught her otherwise. She guessed his plan was to trick one into a false sense of safety. Tricky, but not tricky enough.

Agatha put on the headset provided on the platform and called out to her opponent, "Please at least put up a fight. I want this to be at least entertaining." Agatha paused a moment to hear whatever response her opponent may or may not have. After that short pause, she pointed her cane outward and commanded, "Nosferatu, Giga Drain."

The crowd roared as the Crobat looked upon its opponent and began to glow a sickly green. It then spread its wings to activate the attack and attempted drain some life out of the opponent. It was a Grass type attack, so if it hit it would certainly do quite a bit of damage to the little Totodile. Yet one can not see the future, so Agatha stood quietly to see how the Totodile would get out of this.

The screaming of the crowd displeased Archer as they all seemed too happy and he did not do happy. He knew that this was his way of revealing himself to Giovanni without bringing too much attention to his appearance. Unfortunately for Archer he was bound by tournament regulations so he was unable to act as he usually would when fighting someone though he also knew that it would be a good warm-up so that he could prove himself once again.

Archer had already taken his place on the podium and had attached his headset to his beautiful face and he watched as the old bat hopped onto the opposing platform before snickering and thinking that 'old people should just stay where they belong, a retirement home.' When the old bat began taunting him about making it entertaining he felt offended that the old bat was underestimating him and his psychotic pokemon. "Entertaining? How could a young man beating an old lady be fun?" he tried to sound sympathetic when he said it though he also wanted it to be antagonising.

Before even waiting for the old bat to continue he snapped his fingers and muttered "Dance Dile." This was the one command that the Pokemon would fully understand before it went into its crazy state. Luckily for Archer Dile was actually paying attention and decided it would listen to its master and began jumping around whilst crunching its teeth together trying to act like a scary beast though instead it just looked cute and a quiet 'ahhh' could be heard from some of the spectators.

Archer was lucky as he had not been paying attention to the old bat and he had missed what the command she had issued to her Crobat and all he could see was it glowing a disgusting green colour, he had to act on his feet here as he had no idea what she was using "Dile, just dance around, Avoid that move or I will kill you. Now bite that motherflippen with an Ice Fang." He watched as the baby crocodile charged over to the Crobat and jumped at it attempting to bite it with its icy fangs.

'Hmmm if he wins the match, maybe I'll give him a treat.' Archer knew full well that this battle wouldn't end on the first move no matter how much he hoped.

Agatha didn't know what to make of this...Totodile. It just danced around like one of those silly street performer clown pokemon Agatha kicked on her way to the grocery store. Such a strange creature...one that will not be easy to hit. Agatha did not quite like over happiness, so this small hopper will just have to go.

When the little sprout used Ice Fang, the airborne Crobat simply barrel rolled out of the way. Agatha suddenly realized how unfair this match up was, a tiny Totodile against a flying Crobat. She didn't want the fight to be too easy for her, with Nosferatu just flying around everything. Thus, she took out a pokeball and reclaimed the Crobat. She then tucked the ball under her apron and pulled out a new one, pressing the circular middle orb to release its contents.

Out came Undertaker, a Dusknoir who didn't seem to be very happy to see its Totodile opponent. Agatha cleared her throat and said, "Undertaker, use Shadow Punch." The ghostly pokemon let out a displease low growl before launching at the little Totodile, its fist raised and encased in dark energy. Agatha looked on, wishing she had brought something to drink.

Archer was a tad annoyed when Dile missed it's target however he knew how difficult it was to hit a moving target, let alone a flying one. At least Dile was causing irritation to Agatha because instead of sticking with her starter Pokemon she changed to a disgusting Dusknoir.

"Dile, Keep on evading and when you get a moment, Ice Fang again" Archer didn't have much experience with ghost pokemon or their moves so when she had commanded it to use Shadow Punch he had assumed it was any run of the mill punch and could easily have been evaded however the moment the Dusknoir launched itself at Dile it was as if a magnetism had been activated, Dile's movements were locked inplace as if it's very shadow had been caught and Dusknoir was still flying towards it with its eerie fist raised. Archer realised at that moment that this would not be an easy fight.

Archer grimaced before saying "Dile, Ice Fang that Dusknoir the moment you get hit." Dile nodded and at that moment it got punched in the side of the jaw by Dusknoir's eerie fist and it began to bleed. Strangely most Pokemon wouldn't bleed from such a simple attack but Dile was different, he had an oddly frail body compared to his fellow species however it was also a bonus, when Dile saw his own blood he went into a blind rage and this was what was about to entail. Dile looked at the corner of it's mouth and saw the blood trickling out and a switch flicked on, he began twitching before hurling himself at the Dusknoir with its icy fangs glowing a cool blue. From this distance dodging shouldn't be that easy but you never could tell with a ghost pokemon.

Undertaker was more than annoyed with the Totodile's self damaging tactics. Sure his own attack hit but the sly water type put in its own Ice Fang that caused quite a bit of irritation in his arm. Yes, this thing will just have to be put down. Ah but when they broke away it would seem the little guy was going crazy. Undertaker couldn't tell why, but Agatha could take a guess. Seems the poor dear couldn't handle a bit of blood. Quickly Agatha said, "Don't let it get you."

Undertaker responded just as quickly. When the ravenous tyke lunged at him with another Ice Fang, Undertaker seemed to disappear into the ground. To be precise, he actually dove into his shadow through the nifty move Shadow Sneak, thus keeping himself ice free. That wasn't the end though, the shadow then slid across the floor into the shadow of Totodile and soon enough Undertaker rose from its shadow with his fist raised. He then proceeded to swing said fist while Agatha tapped her platform in a bored manner.

The moment he heard a voice yelling from the crowds he could tell it was Proton, at first it seemed like he was supporting him however when he realized that he was actually supporting Agatha he began clenching his fists 'That bloody idiot! He should be supporting me not that old hag, Does he not have any pride in the Team Rocket Executives? I guess I will have to play with him later anyway I cannot let him get to me, I will have to prove him wrong in order to show Giovanni I have changed...Now lets do this!'

Archer smashed his fists down onto the podium in front of him and screamed "DILE IF YOU DON'T DODGE THAT, DON'T EXPECT ANY LUNCH" Dile heard this and jumped to it's side as the fist grazed his side and it narrowly evaded the dusknoir's strike as it erupted from his shadow. "GOOD NOW USE ICE FANG AGAIN!" Dile snapped its jaw sideways trying to bite the dusknoir as it hurtled past him even though there was a high chance the momentum of the beast would make it evade the move.

Archer looked over at Agatha and smiled "I take it back, your not an old hag, your an interesting individual who I will beat somehow someway. Your ghosts are just as annoying as Dile over there!"

Agatha stared at Undertaker as the totodile attempted to bite him once again. She didn't pay attention to the odd support she got, or was even aware she had support. The only thing she was aware of, was that this battle was taking too long. It was time to move on. Undertaker indeed spotted the small pokemon attempt to ice fang him once again, however by moving forward with his fist, he indeed got out of the way just in time. Undertaker turned toward his foe and stared at it with a great amount of burning hatred. He could not understand why it didn't give up. Fueled by disdain, the Dusknoir but its hands near his head as his one eye began to glow, activating his Future Sight

However, before he could get a clear vision Agatha took out Undertaker's pokeball and withdrew him. She then looked to her opponent and said, "This has gone on long enough. Your game ends here." Agatha then took out yet another pokeball from her apron and released her trusty Haunter, Vengeance. Vengeance looked upon his opponent and couldn't help but laugh hysterically and make faces at it. Agatha disliked her pokemon's over confidence but decided to ignore it and say, "Objective 4 if you please." The Haunter looked to his master, giggled, and then looked to the totodile with his eyes glowing a dark blue. This was called a Mean Look, and if the small totodile looked into Haunter's eyes, it too would glow and suddenly Archer would find that he can't withdraw his dear pokemon friend.

Archer sighed, he had chosen the wrong person to use against this old hag. He was only able to use half of the moves that Dile knew against her damn Ghost Pokemon. When he saw the Dusknoir grip its head he knew something was coming so he quickly made sure that Dile would be even more prepared and even more of a hassle for the hag. "Dile, Dragon Dance again! Make her hate your guts even more!" Dile then began dancing around on the balls of it's feet looking like a right lemon as it snapped at the air pretending to be a dragon.

Archer began to grimace when he saw the old hag swap Pokemon again, she was now onto her third Pokemon and this time it was some crazy jumped up Haunter which was cackling at him. The damn thing had the gall to cackle at the Mighty Archer! He just couldn't accept that, he would get out Doom and show him the what for however the hag then ordered it to do some stupid command instead of actually saying something however he recognised what the Haunter was doing. "DILE! DAMNIT. GET THAT BLOODY GHOST WITH ANOTHER DAMN ICE FANG!" Archer was seething with rage now that he could not get out his most trusted ally out. Dile nodded and began running towards the haunter but with his new speed boost he zipped from one direction to another trying to confuse the haunter as to which side he would strike from and when he reached the haunter he tried to feint that he was going to jump up from the left side of it but instead jumped from the right and attempted to sink it's icy fangs into yet another ghost pokemon.

Archer sighed and wondered why he hadn't switched earlier, Doom could easily have beaten this woman but no he had to be cocky, he could have just ended this and made his reappearance to Giovanni but no he had to try and do it with a bang. Well what's done is done but he had ended up limiting himself as all the moves he had made Dile learn were all useless against such an annoying Pokemon type.

Vengeance was a sly Haunter. He may not have shown it, but he has been in almost every battle his master has taken part in. Thus he had established a multitude of tactics commonly used by opponents as well as ways to combat them, the most simplest being to just be a tool. As his eyes turned back to normal, Vengeance cackled at the on coming Totodile. When it got near enough, the ghost rolled its floating body onto one of its disembodied hands and pushed upward, sending it flying over the tyke and behind it. The haunter cackled at it again, making a variety of crude faces.

Seeing this, Agatha cleared her throat which got her taunting Haunter's attention. The master trainer nodded at the Haunter, and the Haunter nodded back, its grin turning into a foreboding frown. Vengeance then lurched back, its eyes closed and its hands out, yet its mouth open wide. After a moment, the ghost's eyes flashed open, now showing a rather horrible pink glow. A moment later, a grotesque and retched noise emitted from the Haunter's mouth. A horrid tune that spread all across the stadium, tell of doom and death. A cursed melody that sucked the energy out of both its user and its chosen target...that is unless they could be spared by switching it out, thus allowing it to evade the curse. Unfortunately for Archer, Mean Look prevented this, thus Totodile had no choice but to suffer at the hands...of the Perish Song.

When Vengeance closed its mouth and its eyes turned to normal, the mournful tune still lingered in the air thus showing the curse was in play. It had chosen Totodile as its victim, and in a few minutes the small pokemon shall faint as well as Haunter. Agatha could have certainly changed Haunter out, leaving Totodile to its fate and thus be in the lead...and that is exactly what she did. What? Did you think she was in a sportsman mood? Not today I'm afraid, not having any tea kind of makes her turn into a witch. She took out Vengeance's pokeball and returned him, Undertaker coming back to take his place. Agatha tucked the pokeballs under her apron before saying, "You're welcome to one final go, though personally I would let fate take its course."
