Those were the three pokemon she was to use during this whole thing, and she had to say, she felt she had picked a good line-up. Liepard was for the speed, whereas Delcatty was, well, the one that rounded things out, being decidedly average for this. And Onix, he was mostly for power as well as reach, if they ever got into a power competition, he would be the one dragging the team the entire way through, with Liepard and Delcatty switching in to provide him at least a little rest and comfort from the competition. "Alright team. You know what this competition is, it's Disc Catch. Now I expect you to go out there and win win win nya. Especially you, Edesia. Just look at ya, you're so big and stuff that you should have this in the bag, easy!" Tika exclaimed to them, drilling them as if she were some kind of military driller, and they were the recruits. Which, in her mind, they were, because she had never really been in one of these things before. But hey, it was just catching discs. Her Liepard could jump reasonably high, as could her Delcatty, and the Onix, well, she could just grab the discs no problem, if any came anywhere even near her. "Now, let's get out there!" she shouted, and they emerged from wherever it was the contestants were being placed at. Her pokemon rushed onto the field and into the positions they were meant to be in, while she took a spot on the sideline, watching them with an eager look on her face. Of course, the others had to come out too before this could really start, but hey, that was the breaks. Of course, it was not long at all before everyone else was on the field, and it was a-go! "Climb. On. Top. Of. Her." she ordered of her Liepard, pointing at the Onix. Obediently, the cat-like pokemon did as such. For good measure, she made sure to use Captivate while up there, in order to distract any of the male pokemon, before she perched herself on the Onix's head. Oh, yes, and Stealth Rocks were practically littering the field now, thanks to Onix. What was the Liepard's first action, then? She leaped among the rocks, the majority high up in the air, and lunged for a nearby disc.[/style][/style]

how annoying! nothing bothered surge more than the inability to wipe the stupid smirk off his face. even if it was small and smug, he didn't like to present himself in such a content manner. because he wasn't. well, he told himself he wasn't.

"static guard field up, remember formation. double pincer retrieval ground tank charlie foxtrot, alright?"

his instructions were clear, if not a bit broken to anyone listening in. it was never wise to allow people to know your plans. just because this was for sport didn't mean surge would stand lax and careless. his team was more than poised for the oppotunity to compete without the reprecussions of pain. the lack of hostility brought a nice breeze to their lungs, an abrupt change to their usual hurricane.

while electrive wasn't the best choice for disc catching, the rest of the team was more than adept at the sport. speed, agility, and perception; the trinity that luxray and raichu covered. surge would leave them to their dues. they knew what to do. the moment frisbee was throw they scattered. luxray, arguably the fastest runner of the three, was already scaling onix, gaining ground on the liepard with a spurt of quick attack. the captivate only increased the ferver of his chase, an odd stupor of attraction slaught on his face.

raichu stayed with the stationary electrive below, both of them radiating electric sparks. they weren't above maintaining a static field to paralyze anyone that got into physical contact with them. if anything, it was the best way for them to maintain offense without really harming any of the other competitors. with the first disc in sight, raichu clambored onto electrive's hands, using it as a stepping stool as the eletric ape chucked his companion into the sky.

raichu, luxray, and liepard were bound to converge onto the disc. whoever touched it first was bound to score a point for the team. yet, why did all three have to compete when two of them were on the same front? acting as support, luxray leapt toward liepard, releashing a deafening roar to frighten off the opposing pokemon. raichu was more than adept at ignoring the friendly fire as he whirled in midair. why leave catching up to chance when raichu had several feet on the cat? using the momentum of the mid-air spin, raichu brought his tail to the disc, sure to impale it with his irontail. possession was nine tenth's of the law, after all.

Of course, battles were lovely, but it was always about fighting, knocking someone out. Wolf wanted to get involved in the Pokeathlon for quite a while, though he didn't think that in these days of war that an event would ensue. Of course, Isshu, his home region was fairly neutral, save fore a skirmish or two. "Let's give it our best, guys! Annabelle, patrol the skies. Michonne, leap for those discs as high as you can. Enshou...You know what to do." he encouraged them, saving a quick smirk and a wink for Enshou. The Quilava nodded reassuringly. Yes, they had a plan that the other two teams were unlikely capable of competing with....Except for that Onix. Wolf didn't account for obscenely tall Pokemon. Enshou scanned his competition. In terms of size, he felt it was mostly fair. Liepards were quick, but the fire type would be able to give it a run for it's money. The Onix was it's only true threat. Michonne, being of a horse nature, had little to worry about. Horses were meant for great leaps. Annabelle, shooting deliberately sarcastic looks to her opposition was ready to weave in and out of her foe's way to get the discs. From the ground, she lifted herself up with the pulling, flapping force of her wings. She followed after the Liepard and the Luxray. Low to the ground, She hovered just under the following Quilava, whom witnessed the Captivate, but didn't quite understand the point of it. Much like Wolf, he was pretty immune the affects of flirting. One could say all work and no play made Enshou a dull boy. Michonne, finding herself a little too close to the electric duo made a quick gallop to the far end of the field, avoiding the sparks that would have kept her grounded for quite some time. The dragon made a sharp turn for the vertical flying parallel to the Onix. Enshou leaped forward with a tiny extended arm, reaching for Annabelle's tail. He got a firm hold of it, shooting upward with her. The intimidating cry of the Luxray did nothing to scare Annabelle. It did, however, surprise Enshou enough to cause a slight, but not too costly mistake. He squealed as he released s large fog of smoke from his mouth, leaving a trail for the cats to cough and loose their way in, while Annabelle was still able to see the Disc clearly. With an open mouth, she waited for it to fly between her teeth while her enemies choked on Enshou's dust. However, she and Raichu were neck and neck and above the Smokescreen, shooting for the prize. With a quick jerk of her body, she ascended in a beautiful spinning pattern, her arms and wings attempting to leave her body, trying to get in the way of a certain rat's plan. Behind the scenes, Wolf worried about the physical contact, but he knew the risk would have to be taken. She could easily end up paralyzing herself, but anything she would have tried to do would be too harmful. Annabelle was a damn death machine. [/style]
