The recent disappearance of Lux president Owen has instigated many shifts in the ranks of Lux. Many believe this to be the reason that Miss Monet has stepped down from her position. When asked of her reasons for stepping down, Miss Monet responded: "after careful consideration and a look back at what i've been doing as a champion, it has come to me that stepping down would be the best decision in this case. i would not be the best choice for diplomatic relations, which is what sinnoh needs right now. i shall be resigning as champion, and leaving the position in capable hands." Were the former champion's final words before her departure. The stepping down of Cynthia Monet came as a surprise to a large number of Lux members, including Thorton Rosewood, a fellow Lux Officer within Sinnoh. “ I found it to come as a shock when the news first reached me that Cynthia had stepped down, she seemed to be perfectly adept at the role which was asked of her, although things may have been getting too violent for her to remain in charge. She seemed much more inclined to avoid the battle front. Something Sinnoh does not need with it’s current state of affairs” Xander Cromwell, the previous champion of Hoenn and now promoted to the position of President of Lux, also had a view on this issue. "Saddened, but not disheartened. With Miss Monet's resignation, we've lost a powerful ally on the battlefront; however, we haven't lost her for the cause. Not everyone can be champion. It's gruelling work, dangerous work. I'm sorry to see her go, but if she wanted out, I'm glad she left. We can patch up Sinnoh without that weakness looming over us." We at the Prerequisite would like to wish Cynthia the best of luck in whatever she chooses to pursue now, and would like to thank her for her patronage in the war so far. [/style] |
