The victorious takeback of Sootopolis City is no exception. It started with Nox protestors in the then-Lux city. They were speaking out against the crimes and tyranny of Lux to the people of Sootopolis. It had only been a few months since Lux took over. Nox would not stay quiet for too long after their city was taken so forcefully. Socialite Renae Oziel and Medic Cecil Baker had the loudest voices in the crowd, fighting to be heard. Of course, though, Lux tried to step in and silence them, to prevent the truth of their faction from leaking out among the already torn civilians. The cat-like Sentinel Tika and Officer Hector Grimoire are guilty as charged, they wasted no time in using force to try and stop Renae and Cecil.Typical of Lux, violence erupted wherever they came. Their ‘force’ turned out to be a full-scale pokemon battle, endangering all of the gathered civilians and other protestors in the already-damaged city. Luckily, there were good samaritans in the crowd – a man by the name of Terran Sunderland, who made quick work of attempting to protect the fearful civilians and protestors. The fight between Renae, Cecil, Hector, and Tika escalated dangerously, forcing Terran to join the battle as well after he saw to it that the civilians were safe. The fighting raged on for a long time, Hector and Tika firing unrelenting attacks against the Nox members defending what remained of Sootopolis City from the battle months back. After almost an hour of fighting Terran, Cecil, and Renae managed to force Hector and Tika into a corner, using their greater numbers to their advantage. The other protestors, too, began to pick up their pokemon and fight the lesser Lux members trying to stand in the way of the truth being spread. Tensions began to get out of hand until Lux Champion, Xander Cromwell appeared – then they really got out of hand. Renae and Cecil’s resolve remained unbroken despite the appearance of such an iconic Lux figure. Terran turned from the five-way fight to see to Xander himself. Before the watching eyes of those that had gathered for the protest, the vicious and unforgiving high-standing Lux member disarmed Terran and brutally maimed the man’s limb, forcing it to be further amputated after the battle in order to save his life. The storm of battle and clashing views faded soon after, with Lux retreating and Nox managing to stay standing despite the terrible blows they suffered. Now a martyr for the Nox cause, we managed to get some words on the Sootopolis upset from Terran, "Today was a victory for the citizens of Hoenn. Even after Lux won the city, they weren't able to silence the peoples' hearts. Seeing this was worth any price I had to pay." A deeper statement than many have heard for a long time can come from someone who fought – and paid – to free Sootopolis from Lux’s clutches. The citizens of the city witnessed with their own eyes how truly cruel and merciless Lux is, and soon after refused to further stand under their rule and flag, forcing any and all Lux out of the city, once again returning to Nox control and protection as it should be.
