Alyssa stood leaning against the wooden walls of the cabin behind her. Snow was coming down hard from the sky above, and building on the blanket that already covered the ground. The footprints she had left leading up to the cabin on the top of the hill were vanishing, as were the narrow pawprints Daybreak had left in her wake. The Espeon had wanted to venture outside of the pokeball with her trainer here. First, she had been excited to see snow, how it fell on her purple fur, and how it felt. But, now she was getting colder. Though they had only been standing still for a short amount of time, the snow was cold enough to start chilling the Sun Pokemon.
Daybreak sat atop Alyssa's black, fur-lined boots, trying to stay as far off the snow as possible. She had wanted to be out of her pokeball for a number of reasons, not just because she would get to play in the snow, but because she wanted to see Ruby again, too.
Alyssa smiled a bit as she thought of trainer that was, like herself, from Hoenn. She'd first met him in Sinnoh, but that meeting had gone excellently. I hope he's here soon.. she thought, glancing down at Daybreak, who shivered and pressed her body against her trainer's legs. Alyssa adjusted the hat on her head so it covered her ears better. The maroon scarf around her neck plastered her hair to her skin, leaving it no room to jut out slightly before it was tucked into her black overcoat.
A small cry from Daybreak made Alyssa look down.
"Do you sense Ruby, Daybreak?"
