Wes rode into town almost silently. His new bike hummed lightly as he made his way to the rail yard, where this supply train was supposed depart. Hopefully he’d be able to get this done and continue exploring the region; even if this trip was forced he’d been trying to enjoy it a little bit. The former thief questioned why they assigned him this mission in the first place. Apparently he had been requested by somebody, but why him? There were tons of jobs he did better than guard duty.
“Whatever, the easier the job the better.” In the time he had arrived in the region he had grown to dislike the organization for the most part. Their objective itself rubbed him the wrong way, and the way they worked towards these goals annoyed him to say the least. However the conflict didn’t concern him or his region as far as he knew, so for now he’d follow protocol and do as instructed until his situation changed, after all he was no hero.
He arrived at the rail yard at noon or so in cold and misty weather. This job and this weather made a terrible combination, it would allow the supposed hijackers to get relatively close without him knowing, “Damn, this’ll be a pain, hopefully it’ll clear up once we get closer to the destination.” He parked his bike, slid his sun glasses over his forehead, and locked the machine before making his way over to a couple of workers. The snagger walked quickly and quietly his coat blowing in the wind, “Is this the cargo train?” He asked a bit louder than he normally would hoping to alert the workers.
“Whose asking?”
Wes pulled out a piece of neatly folded paper and handed it to the worker, after skimming it the worker spoke once again.“So you’re the guard? You look a bit flimsy, but I suppose you’ll do.” Wes chose not to respond to the insult, instead choosing to ask about the mission details. “There’s another guard who’s supposed to accompany me, are they here?” The worker shook his head to say 'no' before speaking again. “Everything you need to know is on the paper, it’s pretty straightforward. Apparently some Nox operatives are going to attempt to rob the train. If they come capture them, if they don’t then perfect. You get a quick ride to the border. Just make sure nothing happens to the goods.” Wes simply nodded before releasing one of his most trusted Pokemon into the open.
“Umb I want you to inspect the train, and inform me of any openings our enemies could use to gain an advantage over us, then report back here.” The dark type nodded and made his way onto the train Umb would follow orders to the letter, Even in Wes’ darker days the Pokemon had performed its roles efficiently and carefully, Umbreon was the perfect watch dog for this operation. He’d release a few more Pokemon on the train once the train actually left, but for now Umbreon would do. Wes then made his own rounds inspecting the outside of the train himself, almost ready to proceed with the mission.
