Morty sat atop Fujin as they soared ---well, floated--- towards the beautiful city of Celadon. The young man spent days thinking and planning for the perfect event to boost the spirits of the soldiers and the citizens living in Ecruteak City. A simple festival won’t do, not at all. He needed something bigger, something grander, and something more special. And it was then that he came up with the idea of a Kimono Girl dance. But not just any Kimono Girl dance. A dance featuring some of the best living Kimono Girls that have ever graced the stage! Most of those girls, however, have left Ecruteak and scattered to every region known to man. He had a hard-time tracking them down but he managed, and a lot of them already agreed. This was also the reason why he was heading towards Celadon City in the first place, to talk to his friend and Kimono Girl dancer Erika of the Celadon Gym. If that didn’t get their spirits up, he didn’t know what would.
The Gym Leader slept most of the way towards the city, and a lot of those times he managed to fall off of his Drifblim, forcing the pokemon to do an emergency save. Morty’s lucky his pokemon was used to him falling off; otherwise he would have plummeted to his death. What a way to go. Despite it all, the duo managed to arrive safe and sound in the outskirst of Celadon. Morty smiled, patted his pokemon on it’s large, bulbous head an hopped off. Celadon was a symbol of wealth and power as the only ones living there were the rich and influential, and it showed. The streets were clean, the skyscrapers gleaming, and not a beggar in sight. And somewhere in all that pompousness was Erika, all Morty had to do was find her.
Morty didn’t bother heading towards the Celadon Gym, he didn’t think his friend would be there. He knew stopped being the formal Gym Leader quite some time ago and began selling perfumes in the department store. Morty had to admit he considered dropping his title as well, after all hardly anyone ever challenges him, but decided against it. It was fun to be known as a Gym Leader. Upon reaching the very large and beautiful department store that made every store in Ecruteak look like pigpen, the ghost trainer looked for his friends shop in the directory and made his way there. He was excited, it’s been a while since the two of them met in person.
“ERIKA!” he’d yell at the top of his lungs the moment he found her.
