IN RESPONSE TO THE OUTCOME OF THE BATTLE OF OLIVINE, ECRUTEAK CITY HAS BECOME A FULLY MILITARIZED LUX BASE. ALL CITIZENS MUST COOPERATE
After the Battle of Olivine, Ecruteak has become the LUX stronghold, deathstar, valley of war, etc. LUX is shipping military equipment and troops to hold it against NOX. Route 38, to the west, has become a no man's land, a wasteland of barbed wire, swamped farmland, and bloated miltank carcasses. Soldiers are instructed to shoot on site. Route 42 and 37 are held by the teeth of LUX patrol to link the three core cities LUX controls. Ecruteak City is valued as the crossroads linking Goldenrod City, Mahogany Town, Olivine City, and Violet City.

ECRUTEAK CITY.[/font]
Ecruteak city is an old-fashioned village isolated and land-locked in the northern forests of Johto. It is a gloomy, shadowy village steeped like aged black tea in mystery. There are stories of legendary pokemon living in the forest, and when the fog drifts down from the sleeping volcano, obscure shadows dance on the distant border of the wilderness. This historical city is famous for the ten-story Bell Tower built a millennium ago and haunted by ghost pokemon and hosts a tourist's paradise. Visitors might indulge in tours of the ancient district, spas around the springs that feed Mt. Mortor's lake, and the Kimono Girl's Theater troupe. Ecruteak City is the fourth largest city in Johto after Goldenrod City, Violet City, and Olivine City.
Bell Tower.
[/size]Bell Tower has been taken over as a radio beaken. The museum is also being evacuted of relics in case of any fighting, and these relics are being shipped to high security vaults back at indigo plateau.
Kimono Girl's Theater.
[/size]The Kimono Girl's theater is still open and performing shows for those who travel to Ecruteak. Festivals and parades are still being held in full force to strengthen moral of the residents and encamped soldiers.
Militia Training Camp.
[/size]A Military training camp is located on the north-eastern plains. Barracks house the concentrated LUX army stationed in Ecruteak. Food is rationed.
Defense.
[/size]The forests surrounding Ecruteak City have been stripped and deforested to a massive extent. The surrounded peatlands have deteriorated, due to lack of trees, into swamps and bogs. The route facing Olivine is riddled in mines.

On October 11, Gym Leader Matsuba Igarashi was tried guilty by the LUX Council for harboring terrorists and NOX supporters. A warrant has been placed for his fugitive arrest. In light of recent events, I, Lady Miryo Igarashi, will take charge of the estate of the gym as a loyal LUX representative of the Igarashi family. If any citizen is found aiding the Ecruteak Gym Leader, he or she will be arrested for conspiracy. In addition, Thalia, our most generous champion, has arrived to prepare the city's defenses against the NOX threat of Olivine. Citizens must submit to random searches and offer identification at checkpoints. Military forces will be arriving within the month to mobilize against the NOX occupied Olivine City. All tourist activities will continue, but mandatory emergency evacuation drills will be conducted as a precaution in the event of an attack. Please, carry your LUX identification cards with you at all times. Tourists will receive visitors passes valid for the time of their stay. These passes will be easily procured from travel agencies and customs checkpoints. Because Ecruteak City holds festivities in the evenings, the curfew will be relaxed within the city's urban limits. However, any loitering past the midnight hour or about the city outskirts regardless of time will be taken as evidence of conspiracy and all actors will be held in question. Upon entering Ecruteak city, all ghost and psychic pokemon will be confiscated and held indefinitely. Only soldiers will have the right to keep them in their custody. Ghost and Psychic pokemon smuggled against these regulations into the city limits will be destroyed. Bell Tower shall also be off limits to the citizenry until the NOX threat has been dealt with. All male citizens between the ages of 19 and 45 will be required to participate in mandatory militia training to back up arriving LUX soldiers. All pokemon are subject to confiscation for the use of defense. The war has been brought to our doorstep. We must fight for the calm and peaceful life the people of Johto deserve.
