If Our Love is Tragedy Why Are You My Remedy?
It was a pretty nice day out, the sun was shining and the air was fresh. It was a wonderful place to live... if only he actually lived here. His cousin whom he stayed with for a good portion of childhood lived in another town while his parents stayed in Petalburg much of the time for work. Of course his cousin was visited often and he came home when he could but it just wasn't really the same as it was before.
Wally was really just visiting home for a while, something fun to do before getting the children back. There were three of them with the young man today smiling, laughing and playing with the green haired male. His mother loved it when they visited because she, like her son, loved kids and it wasn't often he gave the kids a little field trip. They got to see the gym and play with his Pokemon. It was easier with kids... they were easy to read and always said what they thought. It also meant he could visit where he'd met Ralts... Maybe even visit Sapphire's father a town over or so when he brought them back. Of course they visited the gym. After all he couldn't let the man who introduced him to Ruby and lent him a Pokemon to catch his first ever get away without a hug or something. Maybe he should make him a card even.
"Kids stay out of the grass," he called to the three little ones. They were no older than seven or eight at this point. The younglings just nodded and agreed with him while going back to play with his Minun and Plusle.
The boy let his eyes wander around, he was outside the city technically by the tall grass just to the east of the city. On the other side was the man and his boat plus the forest. Over here of course was just very pretty. It was also farther away from the gym and Ruby's father Norman so the kids wouldn't disturb the gym workers.
He had nothing against Ruby's dad, he thought highly of the man actually. He just grew tired of work coming first a lot of the time with his own father that he looked up to Norman as the ideal dad. He knew his father worked so much to make other people happy and to pay for medical bills but it still sort of hurt. Without Norman he probably would never have met Ruby.
He looked down, Plus and Minus playing happily next to him by the taller grass with the three kids. He couldn't help but smile a little at them. He wasn't good at expressing his feelings around certain people, worried about saying something weird. He was always very worried about what Ruby thought of him. With Sapphire he had always known where he stood but Ruby was different. He missed Sapphire. Ruby was all he had left. There was the rustle of grass behind him, but he didn't look back.
