LUX: HAYATO "FALKNER" CAELUM run until your hands touch the sky  |
FULL NAME Falkner Hayato Caelum. He doesn't mind nicknames to a point, though he prefers to keep formalities. He often introduces himself as simply Falkner, and his middle name is mainly reserved for people that are close to him or he has known for some time. He won't necessarily be angry if someone addresses him as Hayato. It does make him a little uncomfortable though, since it's special to him. BACKGROUND Thirty-two years ago on April 16, Falkner was born to one of the Caelum families under the name of Hayato Caelum. His parents were the couple of Ayato "Walker" and Kyoko. His family, by all means, we're incredibly happy together, and both of his parents always had the best intentions for him. However, good things don't last forever, and Kyoko succumbed to sickness on her son's eighth birthday. He can still remember closing the Violet City gym with his father and holding a framed photograph of his mother, adorned with black ribbons. Shortly afterwards, Walker was the one who sent his son to be schooled by the Sprout Tower monks. He was rarely able to see h is father due to the rigorous education of the monks, and in effect, it was these sages that raised Falkner. However, he trained as a flying type specialist under his father, and it was in those moments that he spent with his last remaining family. Falkner was well aware that his father had high expectations of him, and his greatest fear became being unable to live up to his father's expectations. However, with the war raging, Walker aligned himself with Lux and was consequently KIA. Falkner is currently mourning the loss of his father and can be found staying secretly with his twin cousins in Mossdeep. OCCUPATION Gym leader and peace-keeper of Violet City, though his duties to the gym come first. His job is to test the skills of trainers that come through his gym's doors. If he is defeated, he will hand them the Zephyr badge, though the gym hasn't been functioning properly ever since the war. His gym has become a sort of large aviary to stray birds from the war, so he's often busy with that as well, and also helps out with maintaining Sprout Tower. He's a very busy person. ALLEGIANCE Falkner was always uneasy about the increasing control that Lux had over the regions. However, he has aligned himself with Lux in an attempt to retain as much control over Violet City that he can. He doesn't necessarily dislike Nox, and if Falkner had his way, he'd try to stay out of the war altogether. Of course, that would mean relinquishing control of the city, his father's beloved city.
