LUX: VIOLET HEARN What an odd and interesting world we have!  |
FULL NAME Violet Maribel Hearn. No nicknames as of yet, though some have called her Professor or Doctor on occasion. BACKGROUND Violet was born into the Hearn family 34 years ago on December 1st in the town of Ecruteak in Johto. From a young age she showed interest in learning more about how things worked and sciences in general. This was swiftly embraced by her parents who wanted to pamper their only child. She was tutored and given what she wished to learn with and this only increased as she aged. She left home to begin formal training in the sciences at the age of 18 all the way in Unova. While there she picked up a great love for Psychic type pokemon and began to add to her so far lacking team. All she had had to start was the Vulpix that had been wandering around her home back in Johto years ago. This prompted her to finish her studies and compile a team. At the age of 23 she found a book written by a prominent scientist that seemed to be his compiled knowledge on Psychic types and research into them. Reading this book prompted her to jump back into her studies with a more sure aim in mind. Around the age of 28 she was side tracked for a time by a relationship that went downhill suddenly. Her fiance got into trouble with someone important and disappeared. Violet did her best to forget about it all and threw herself into her work once more. Then at the age of 32 she was finally back to her old self and finished with her studying into the science involving Psychic pokemon and had begun her search for the man that inspired her to hopefully begin working under him. However, it was not to be. Determined still to master the branch of science she had chosen, and perhaps assist Lux on the side, Violet has been continuously working for the past two years towards a goal only she knows. OCCUPATION Scientist. She has been working towards a career in the sciences for most of her life, and several years ago that came to fruition. She specializes in Psychic types and abilities. ALLEGIANCE Lux, plain and simple. She comes from a well off, law abiding family, and doesn't want any of that to change. In fact, she is rather set in making sure things stay as close to that as possible, if not improve. TRAITS |
POSITIVE TRAITS: ▪ As a scientist she is of above moderate intelligence. ▪ Dedicated. This could be labeled as a negative trait on occasion. ▪ Resourceful. While she claims to be entirely law abiding she will bend rules to get what she needs for research if that is required. ▪ Follows orders well with little margin for error when not in overly stressful situations. ▪ Very kind to children. | NEGATIVE TRAITS: ▪ A tad lazy when not working. ▪ Not very serious about most things not involving her work. ▪ Easily prone to flattery with a vain streak to her. ▪ Rather secretive about her work. She only shares it with those she works with or for. ▪ A tendency to be inconsistent. |
LIKES: ▪ Psychic types and her research with them. ▪ Taking naps. She often spends her free time sleeping. ▪ Showing off. She often makes a point of having her pokemon use a bit more flashy tactics. ▪ Reading. Her free time is split between this and napping more often than not. ▪ The Piano. She even had some of her Psychic types learn to play it and has one in her home. | DISLIKES: ▪ Being woken up. She can get a bit scary when woken up without a very good reason. ▪ Most fighting type pokemon. She considers them crude and only capable of brute strength. She commonly excludes Mienshao and Medicham from this list. ▪ Failed experiments. Who doesn't get a bit depressed when a theory proves to be false? ▪ The fanatically Religious. She doesn't care if you believe in whatever it is you believe in, just leave her out of it. ▪ Coffee. She can't stand the stuff, but harbors a great love of tea. |
SECRETS: ▪ She has experimented on her own pokemon to give them a little extra 'oomph' and further her own research. ▪ She had a diary as a teenager and kept the habit until even now, even if it is considered childish. ▪ Was engaged once, but she never talks about it. She still wears the ring on occasion. ▪ She loves to sing, and is actually rather good at it, but has a terrible memory for lyrics. ▪ Has a strange fascination with Ghost types due to where she was raised. She has plans to study them once her research into Psychics is finished or reaches a dead end. |
