FULL NAME Brandon Garrick Acerbi, or Varnock as most know him. BACKGROUND Varnock was born and raised in the Sinnoh city of Snowpoint and lived there for a good chunk of his life along with his brother, Matt, sister, Min, mother, Elena, and father, Alexander. Varnock grew with his older brother as more of a father figure than his actual father as Alexander was always on long trips to other regions for his business. On one such trip Alexander caught a Totodile for Varnock and gave it to him as his first pokemon. Varnock quickly took to training in the harsh landscapes around his home and quickly added more pokemon to his team thanks to his fathers periodic gifts and his own tenacity for battling. Eventually the war took his father and he went off to study in one of the slightly more prestigious schools thanks to some of the money left to them by his now deceased father. He ended up with some training as a doctor but most of his time went into various trades involving espionage. After graduating he ended up in Hoenn and has wandered since then. To answer any questions on his family his mother died of age and a slight amount of grief and his brother and sister are MIA. Varnock is 33 years old and his birthday is November 7th. However, his Wandering took him through more than was planned. While he did join Nox as he had planned and worked as a spy for some time, eventually evidence came up that he could no longer refute. Nox were doing things that he considered terrible. While he only saw the aftermath of the battle of Goldenrod, it was enough to begin him on a search for some truth. That searching lead him to one conclusion, and that was that Nox was much worse than they made themselves out to be. Even taking into account that some might be lies form Lux, too much pointed at Nox being destructive and not caring at all for the people they claimed to want freedom for. It prompted a change in attitude and mindset that left him betraying Nox and joining Lux in a coup that left most of the Spies for Nox in hot water. It has been two years now, and in that time he has been silently working and learning once more, now aiming for the position of Champion in Sinnoh to help protect his people and his home. OCCUPATION Varnock is a Wanderer. After leaving Sinnoh and finishing college he simply travels the world in search of something as of yet unknown to him while doing what he can to help. His wandering took him to Nox, and then through most of the war as he saw men die and cities destroyed. He is firmly Lux now. ALLEGIANCE Lux. At one point Varnock was entirely supportive of Nox, or more honestly out to save his own skin, but it wasn't meant to last. The battle of goldenrod and the horrific tactics used by Nox in other battles sickened him and prompted him to switch sides in a large coup of Sinnoh that compromised many spies for Nox. TRAITS |
