Friends~
Generally, Palmer will get along with anyone who doesn't try to kill him. His friends are his super-cool Battle Frontier Friends! Right? ... Right?
Enemies~
Generally, Nox will be his enemies. So will people who abuse power and their positions to get what they want instead of helping. It's really difficult for Palmer to make enemies in general, so if you don't try to kill him or his Pokemon, you'll have a guy to talk to or hang out with. He's generally pretty quiet, and generally doesn't talk about politics or the state of the war, mainly because it depresses him like nothing else to see all the happy people go to war over something he made out of respect to the children that fought for the regions.
Lovers~
Let's shoot down all the yaoi. He's straight. Completely. He doesn't want any guy, he'd rather just have a nice girl to relate to and hug all day and night. He wants a drama-free relationship, and his wife may as well be dead to him. The bad kind of dead, where you're glad he or she is gone and you're never looking back. He doesn't care about her, but doesn't want to put his boy under fire, so he doesn't divorce her to keep his son happy and quiet. Generally though, I'd say go for it. He's a good guy to talk to, and he listens. He may not have any relationship advice, but it's better than him begging for a night out with you because he's immensely lonely up in his tower.
Lux/Nox~
Lux is something of his own brainchild, taken way out of proportion by other people. He'd like to set right what once went wrong, so everything can generally be nice and serene again. It'd really be the perfect kind of utopia, and he's not an extremist to the cause as one might think. Of course, he does not think them wrong, he just thinks them extremely strict and a bit too corrupt at points to really think rationally on what would be good. Nox is...a different story. He sees them as too radical, too boisterous and crazy, too cutthroat and fierce to ever be proper rulers of the world. He won't get along too much with Nox, but Anabel might be a different story since they share the very same position...or used to, anyway.
Odds n' Ends~
He really just wants someone to talk to without political matters. Anything that'd make his day brighter and his outlook on life just a bit more hopeful and cheerier.
