FULL NAME A long, long time ago some knew her as Mable Lioncourt. Then she went by Lethe. Now what is she supposed to call herself? BACKGROUND Little Mable did not come from the dirty slums of Pyrite, from the darker depths of the Under, oh no. Little Mable came from Gateon Port, where her father had worked long and hard as a sailor. She doesn't remember much of her mother, or at least claims that there isn't much to remember. She still remembers the day she told her father she'd wanted to be like him when she grew up. It isn't her fondest memory of him, but oh well. Big girls get over that kind of thing. Lethe was able to kick and scratch and fight for scraps of respect in Cipher, at least. While that lasted. But now that that's over, is there even much of a home left to return to? Now she works for whoever will pay her enough to get her sister out of that hell hole. She's 23, now, though she was working far too hard to pay any attention the last time her birthday rolled around, on the 18th of September. OCCUPATION Cipher is gone, now, but Lethe doesn't want to go back home, not even to her sister. She's gotten a job here, instead, as a common soldier. She put herself down as a Sailor, though. That's all she's ever been good at. ALLEGIANCE LUX still promises she can send her paycheck back home to her sister, so they hold her leash instead, for now. Fine. TRAITS |

LIKES: ▪ others from orre - most of that pertains to cipher. it isn't so much patriotism as not having to ask someone to wrap their mind around what it's like. ▪ the idea of security - having food, water, shelter to come home to ▪ sailing ▪ water types ▪ her sister | DISLIKES: ▪ mainlanders ▪ sleepless nights ▪ the state of orre ▪ not seeing her sister grow up ▪ this mainlander war - it's sickening the way they insist on killing each other over ideals while her people are ripping each other apart in order to survive |
SECRETS: ▪ oh, she got a gift from a boy once. a magikarp. something about how they were "of equal worth (or lack thereof)." well. she took that magikarp, yes she did, and now that it's evolved she almost wants to run into him again. ▪ she does too have a sense of humor. it's just usually really dark or really dry or ... not that great to share. so most of the time she doesn't. ▪ despite her father's best efforts, she actually learned quite a bit about ships. there was a time when she dreamed of eventually captaining one of her own, crew and everything. ▪ she doesn't dream about much anymore. |
