Why had she agreed to this? Even before reaching the naval base, Misora had started to second-guess her participating in such a mission. She had gotten used to flying over water, but this was going to be a battle where the opponents were in the water. No matter the extra security added to Pacifidlog, at the end of the day, it was essentially a bunch of rafts supporting buildings and people. She would have been fine just staying on Pelipper and commanding her other Pokemon from above, but the person she was coordinating with was not a fellow member of the Rayquaza Air Force and would probably fight from the ground.
Sighing, the bird keeper gingerly climbed off the large bird Pokemon, trying to pretend the wood under her feet was a tree branch instead of a raft. It's just like climbing a tree, it's just like climbing a tree... It was nothing like climbing a tree. Misora groaned as the raft swayed under her from a passing wave. What would it be like when an actual battle started? Pushing those thoughts aside, she waited for her Emolga to follow her down, then returned Pelipper to his Pokeball. She reached for the ball containing Tropius for just a moment, then glanced at the wood beneath her feet for a moment. How much weight could it hold? Sure, the town hadn't ever sunk before, as far as she knew, but she wasn't about to take her chances.
Heracross came out instead, landing in front of her much more lightly than the flying dinosaur would have. Not willing to crowd any more Pokemon right around her -- even if only for the time it took for them to get out of their Pokeballs and take off -- she settled for those two until she had a chance to see what those sharks were capable of. Once more trying not to think about the water not so far below her feet, Misora brought her chosen two Pokemon to look for Kyra.
