Cassius looked up to the sky, dark with storm clouds and threatening to snow on this cold winter day. A bleak beginning to the day and the thread of a flurry not the only danger this day. A fierce fight was shaping up, warriors on both sides of the war were massing on opposite sides of the bridge, a totally innocent bridge soon to play host to a bloody struggle, and Cassius found his way into the thick of it. He shouldn't be here, he cared not for the war, he didn't want to hurt anybody and definitely didn't want his pokemon to be hurt because of him, but nearby was an insect habitat he himself had created, well insulated to protect his treasured bugs from the bite of cold.
Bug weren't weak to cold, but it did cause many of them to die off because of a lack of sustenance in the winter. He pleaded with both sides to move the battle or at least be wary, and Nox was reasonable, but Lux was not. So here he was, fighting on a side that wasn't really his in order to protect his planet. He knew this was the first step in changing his life, he'd forever be recognized as a Nox sympathizer, but there was nothing to be done about that.
His army of bugs could sweep aside the enemy in one fell swoop, but that wasn't his goal today. Today was a defensive battle, protecting his bug sanctuary meant protecting the bridge. The red-haired trainer sighed as his gaze returned to ground level. He released Tantalus, his golden Galvantula and sauntered to the middle of the bridge, where the supports for the bridge arched into the sky. "Heed me Lux aggressors, there need not be bloodshed this day, return home and we will not pursue!" His manner of speaking and his accent gave the impression of a noble, which he was, an old noble whose family lost their title in ages past, but he still carried himself as such. He backed up a few steps so the arches were before him. He didn't like narrow spaces, it cramped his battling style, but he, like the bugs he fought beside, was very versatile and was already shaping his battle strategy accordingly. "This will be your only warning"
