"Moriarty, Hypnosis,"[/color] Angelo hissed as the Gengar's eyes glowed red. The Pokémon cackled, releasing a white pulse of energy in the direction of the guard. Clearly he was in charge of heading the docks, or at least, the boom-chain. That was what Angelo had come here for in the first place. The guard slouched in his chair and snored softly while the Lux agent pushed his chair aside with some effort, for the man was rather robust. "Well, that should do it,"[/color] he stated, quickly fiddling with the control panel that the security guard had been seated in front of. It resembled a dashboard, a rusting dashboard. It was difficult to make out some of the labels on the board, but Angelo was no stranger to it. He'd been thoroughly informed of his role before being deployed for the mission.

Thumbing a green button, Angelo finally pressed it down and was answered with the sight of the boom-chains disappearing further under the surface. Surprisingly, the motion was rather quiet and smooth. Angelo had been prepared for the worst. This mission all depended on stealth. He glanced over his shoulder at the snoring guard. Moriarty was frisking the man for any valuables. "Mori!"[/color] Angelo hissed. "We don't have time for that!"[/color] The Gengar gave Angelo an exaggerated pout before floating out of the little booth behind his trainer.

Now for step two. Angelo unclipped a Pokéball from his belt, tossing it into the air to release Molly. The Pokémon gave her trainer a quick nod before soaring into the air. It was Angelo's job now to put as much distance between himself and the booth, and it was Molly's turn to put as much distance between herself and Angelo. The Pokémon began to glow a bright yellow with a Charge attack, gathering a ball of electricity in the sky. However, to the average civilian of Slateport, the bright yellow light could have been a lone Volbeat. The first flash, second flash, then third flash, could have easily been one of the firefly Pokémon trying to court an Illumise. Only Angelo and Lux knew that this was not the case.

Before he arrived at the docks, he made sure that Molly was firmly clinging to his shoulder and that Moriarty was nearby, along with putting on a panicked expression. His breathing was heavy, and well, he had been running quite hard. As far as Nox knew, Angelo was a simple Nox guerilla, ignorant to any ways of operating the boom-chains. "Th-there are ships on the horizon!"[/color] he cried as he reached the Nox crowds that had gathered on the docks. "I was doing a coffee run for the guards and we saw them. Th-they sent me back and - what should we do?"[/color]

Drake couldn’t believe he was standing there on his boat leading a small fleet of ships towards Slateport City, one of the southernmost tips of the Hoenn Region. An organized attack is what it was called when he was informed of it. Displeased, he’d kept his thoughts to himself, but all that earned him was a request that the last leg of Hoenn’s Elite Four lead it. There, he’d refused politely the new Champion of Hoenn. However, that initial refusal had quickly transformed the request into an order. Unhappily, Drake had agreed and departed his City for the first time in ages.

That damn brat. Drake thought, curling his lip in displeasure as the line of ships he led drew closer and closer to the beach of Slateport. Who does he think he is? Commanding me to do one thing or another as though I’m his dog. Drake didn’t argue with orders from higher-ups, but it didn’t mean he couldn’t dislike them. I’m too old for this. The Dragon Master stopped himself there before kicking himself mentally, the voice in his head practically shouting that he wasn’t old. With a cough into his forearm, the Captain of The Anastasia, his own ship, spun around to face the members of Lux that were ready to disembark on the nearing City.

”I will assume you all understand your orders?” he asked, his hard eyes looking over them all. They nodded. ”I will assume that your comrades on the other ships as well understand their orders?” Again, nods met his question. ”Good. If there is any disobedience you will have me to answer to.” The orders had been strict – this was a silent attack of takeover and purging of Nox soldiers. From the beaches of Slateport all the way to the guard station at Cycling Road, Nox was to be eradicated. There were strict orders handed down from Drake to cause minimal damage, terror, and injuries…even to enemies for sake of preserving the peace Slateport residents were known to enjoy. If his orders were disobeyed….well, he would cross that bridge when he got to it.

Turning again, the old man sighed and looked into the black night sky at a triple flash. Narrowing his eyes against the sea breeze accompanying it,

”That’s our signal.” he said loudly enough for the soldiers on board to hear. ”Prepare to disembark upon landing!” the ships powered ahead, soon reaching their target. Drake dropped anchor about fifty feet from the shore while the other ships with Lux soldiers went ahead and pulled in to various docks where the soldiers began to disembark. The clicking of pokeballs and calls of bird pokemon indicated that the soldiers behind him had their own means of getting to shore.

Once he was alone upon his ship, Drake sighed. He’d attempted to stay out of the war as much as possible, yet he’d been pulled back in. ”As soon as I think I’m out, they pull me right back in!” He grumbled as his uneven limp brought him to the sides of his beautiful ship. Pulling a pokeball from his belt, he released it into the air, the large form of Khronos took place beside the boat, the Gyarados’ massive jaws about level with the boat’s side as she looked down at her trainer.

”We hopefully wont fight, lass…” he told her as she lowered her head enough for him to step over the side of the boat and onto her hard scales. ”…but I can’t promise ye anythin’.” The Gyarados raised her head and Drake wrapped a steadying arm around the blue horn on her brow with a cough as she swam for shore.

This war has changed the world from what I used to know. I suppose – or rather, hope - this is just a step to changing it back…

It was a lovely night, and the city was also lovely...the latter fact obviously had nothing to do with Anabel having been born in Sootopolis, however, not at all. Nor did it have anything to do with the fact that the island the Battle Frontier was on was obviously enough surrounded by water. That was another thing she liked, water, though she didn't show it that much; another thing she also liked, but didn't show that she liked that much was coffee.

More specifically, the cup of coffee that she was holding in her hand; she was taking small sips from it every now and then as she watched the sky. Things had changed so radically in the past few years; who would have ever thought, two years ago, that she would be riling up Nox people, inflaming their passions for the cause of Nox?

Not to mention the rare times she ventured into cities teetering between one or the other to incite the people themselves to rebel; it was always better if the people wanted to break away from Lux, rather than Nox forcefully making them break away. People, at least those loyal to Lux, had seen the censored truth of that when those articles on Village Bridge, Olivine, and such had come out.

"It's a nice night, Parietal," she said to the Metang floating nearby; he didn't reply. Instead, he was rummaging through the piles of food that people had left out in the market; people were so trusting! Or rather, protective, considering that at first, the food had been behind locks.

"Bad Parietal. Put it back, right now!" she exclaimed to him, and just after she turned around to lead the way to the owners of the stands, she saw something; a bright pulsing light. That was...odd, to say the least, and she wondered if Slateport might be putting up a lighthouse similar to Olivine. But no...it didn't seem to be a lighthouse light at all. How curious. Not thinking too much about it, Anabel scurried away from the market, her Metang following after her as she tried to find the owners of the stalls.

True, they were likely asleep, but...they would probably appreciate being paid for the damage her Metang had wrecked. However, before she could even try to find the owners, she spotted a crowd gathering, murmuring about the light that had just happened a few minutes ago. So, it seemed that her assumption had been right, that people were not putting up a lighthouse in Slateport; what was the light then?

.It was at that moment that someone spoke up, about ships on the horizon, and although he didn't say it, it was obvious what he was thinking; Lux were involved. She gave his Gengar and Emolga a brief glance before glancing in the direction he had came from; he seemed quite out of breath...and what was that he had said about coffee? She glanced down at the now empty cup she had in her hand; hm...she had forgotten to throw it away.

"Keep the crowd calm, and make sure they get safely to their homes before you assist in the fighting. I presume, of course, that you are going to fight," Anabel ordered him; could she do that? She wasn't sure, since she was just a Speaker and he was likely a Guerilla, but that didn't matter; it didn't look like anyone ELSE was going to take charge.

With the orders said, the girl took off running in the direction he had came from, her Metang trailing after her. "Tang!" he cried out, pointing one of his arms towards a fast-approaching Gyrados...and when Anabel looked towards it, she spotted a figure riding the creature, a familiar figure.

Drake, the leader of the Elite Four, now that its former champions had joined Nox.

"Hyper Beam, now." she ordered of the Metang; it floated high up into the air and a massive blast of power, Hyper Beam, screamed through the air towards the approaching Gyrados. She normally would have reservations against such extreme moves, but this was Drake...there would be no messing around with someone like him.

Brianna had been part of the crew rushing the shores of Slateport. Most trainers had bird Pokemon to help them get to shore, but since Brianna was too short-sighted to get a Crobat she had to handle this with one of her water types. As her Pokeball opened up a Qwilfish appeared in the water, looking up at her. "Alright, Puffer," Brianna commented, "I need you to puff up a little so we can get onto the shores of Slateport. Think you're up for it?" The recently-caught Qwilfish nodded, inhaling water to balloon in size. Now there was some space between its spines, so Brianna was able to grab on without impaling herself as the two drifted toward Slateport City. Fortunately, Brianna went relatively unnoticed compared to the giant Gyarados Drake was riding on. Unfortunately, this meant that poor Drake was an easy target for an incoming Hyper Beam. This wouldn't do. She quickly released a Gengar and a Seviper from a pair of Pokeballs, the snake quickly diving into the waters and slinking to docks as the Gengar floated obediently next to Brianna. "Soften up that attack, Warlock," Brianna requested, the Gengar nodding and floating in front of Lance. He assumed a "come at me bro" stance as an orb of darkness formed in his hands. With a powerful throw he slammed the Dark Pulse right into the incoming Hyper Beam, definitely not enough to stop the attack but hopefully enough to weaken its power. The Seviper, meanwhile, slithered toward Slateport. Under the cover of darkness the snake was nearly invisible, so he began to move in the direction of the Hyper Beam's source from the waters. He was a predator, eyes adapted to the dark of night, so he was able to see a large crowd of Nox on the docks. Bad idea, do not go there. He continued slithering under the waters, surfacing for air whenever it was safe, until soon he managed to get on the city's mainland. He slithered in search of prey before noticing a Metang. The source of the Hyper Beam? While it was still too exhausted to strike he slithered right into its view and let his fangs show. The snake began to do a taunting dance, occasionally repeating his name in a mocking tone in hopes of driving the Metang into an irrational fury. Say what you will, but Snake Man's got Swagger. Brianna and Puffer, meanwhile, knew their history. She was a smart girl, and she remembered what happened when people just rushed the shore at the Bay of Spoinks. So why just run on the shore with everyone else when she could take a little detour? On the back of her Qwilfish she began to surf around the beach on Route 109, carefully maneuvering around rocks to try and get to Slateport's westernmost border. If she could successfully navigate the rocks all she would have to do is hop the fence and she'd be in a perfect position to strike from the rear! "Be careful, Puffer," she warned, tensing herself and steeling her nerves. "This ride's about to get real bumpy!" Anabel had already made her decision to take on Drake. Very well. Angelo sure as hell wasn't testing his luck against an Elite Four member. His Pokémon were built for espionage, not for battling, which was why he'd been hesitant to join back into the fray. "Kinda hard to see, isn't it?"[/color] he said to the Emolga perched upon his shoulder. Molly giggled, the sugar glider Pokémon making excited noises. No big deal. This wasn't out of the ordinary for any of Angelo's Pokémon. They were used to advancing in darkness, and the majority of his Pokémon had decent night vision anyways. He reached for his deep pocket, pulling a pair of Pokéballs from his pocket. "Mycroft, Holmes, help me out a bit would you?"[/color]

The area flashed red as a single Ariados and a Zoroark appeared on the Slateport docks. The Zorua growled with a sinister grin while the Ariados clicked her mandibles together. Angelo gave the black fox-like Pokémon a nod, to which it began to change its shape until it had shifted into the form of a young, dark-haired human child. "Not bad, not bad,"[/color] Angelo commented before the Zorua took off into the crowds. This was an old trick that the pair had devised themselves so there was no need for him to command them. Mycroft followed Holmes closely as the Zorua headed west. Of course Angelo knew that Lux had planned to split their invasion forces in half. After all, he was a part of Lux, but there was no way that he was blowing his cover. Very few people actually knew that he was not the enemy, but for now, he was a loyal, freedom-loving Nox guerilla.

Holmes tripped in the sand as Mycroft shot a thick strand of String Shot from between his mandibles. The Zorua child yelped, falling on his face and began to bawl. For good measures, Angelo had released Lestrade and Moriarty as well, the Liepard immediately catching on and the Gengar not about to pass up an opportunity to torment another Pokémon, even if it was his own teammate. Lestrade brandished her claws, going in with an Hone Claws move as she raked them against each other to sharpen them. She was rolling her eyes though if one watched closely. This was awfully boring and the plot had been used one too many times. Moriarty clapped his paws together with a sinister expression deciding the spare the Zorua from his Hypnosis moves for now, all while Mycroft kept a strong hold on the dark Pokémon with the String Shot.

The Zorua sobbed even harder, now screaming and shrieking for help. He'd taken on the form of a seven-year-old boy. He squirmed in his cocoon of spider silk, but each time the Pokémon managed to break a few strings, Mycroft set to spitting up more to mend the holes. Out of the corner of his eye, he watched a Lux soldier riding on the back of a Qwilfish. Perfect. He rolled over onto his other side, throwing Angelo a pleading look now. The Lux Agent had released his Zangoose, who was rushing headlong into battle. "I'm coming!"[/color] the albino yelled as the Zorua thrashed about again while letting out silent cries. "I won't let them hurt you! ... Goddammit, why did I only bring one Pokémon!"[/color]

The Zangoose, Gregson, brandished his own set of claws before tackling Lestrade. The Liepard hissed as the two Pokémon began to slash at each other equally, but their superior speeds allowed them to skillfully dodge the blows. Behind his mask of panic, Angelo had already laid out the entire trap that he'd set up for Brianna. His scarlet eyes scanned the rocks for any help, eyes widening in hope as he spotted the Qwilfish bobbing about the rocks. "Help!"[/color] he cried.

Cold air whipped across Drake’s exposed torso and drew the old man out of the lulled discomfort he had settled in since first departing Ever Grande for this assault. This was something he’d been ordered to do – having a poor attitude about it would get him nowhere, and would only hinder his performance. Now was one of the times to suck it up and do what needed to be done. If he thinks I can be summoned like a slave to do his bidding he is sorely mistaken. Leaving Ever Grande was one thing, leading an attack in this upon a city in something he considered his home was entirely different. That was where the Dragon Master would have liked to say he drew the line – but he was here, wasn’t he?

There was no line to be crossed.

”Take it easy, lass…” he told Khronos, noting the quickened pace at which she swam for shore. ”…we have time. Ye don’t need to rush.” Drawing her head back slightly, the Gyarados’ pace slowed, and Drake’s age-hardened eyes watched the events slowly erupt on the shore roughly thirty feet from him. He would join the fray if needed, but he had volunteered to play a more defensive part in this attack. If Nox soldiers stepped into the water in order to challenge him, he would meet them in battle like the crossing of blades in preparation for a fence.

The light from a Hyper Beam caused Drake’s eyes to narrow slightly as it formed briefly before firing. It was a ways off, but Khronos reacted accordingly, curving her serpentine body to the side and lowering her proud head towards the water, protecting both herself and the trainer perched upon her scales. Reaching his free hand to the brim of his hat, Drake pulled it downwards in order to shield his eyes. The powerful attack whirled overhead and collided with the water behind him in an explosive manner, sending waves running to the shore and water into the air. Raining back down to earth, Drake looked through the falling liquid before it vanished, a fit of coughing overtaking him as he got his breath back from the surprising dip in altitude Khronos had put him through.

Damn. Drake thought, glancing behind him towards his ship as the coughing subsided as quickly as it had erupted. The Hyper Beam had hit the water mid-distance between he and his ship thanks to Khronos’ quick action. Lucky it was weakened, though, otherwise it would have gone further. A silent flash of gratitude was cast toward whomever had interrupted the destructive attack.

The Gyarados raised her head again and cocked it to the side slightly, a silent way of waiting for his order. ”Ah, hold here…” he told her. ”Twenty-five feet out is a fine range.” Shifting his weight, Drake adjusted the hat on his head to its normal position before looking across the water. The sea breeze was gentle enough - a false prelude to whatever monstrosity of a storm was about to erupt because of this attack.

Anabel stopped herself from crying out about how unfair it was, since that would be childish, and instead calmly assessed the battlefield, for that was the only fitting name for the area she was in right then.

The Hyper Beam had missed, going completely wide of the Gyarados thanks to its quick thinking to deftly dodge to the side; the Dark Pulse completely getting in the Hyper Beam's way had also helped, since it had slowed it down enough to let the Gyarados dodge in the first place. The other thing that was happening? A Seviper was approaching them, and fast; Anabel had not gotten to be the Salon Maiden by being inattentive to the battlefield.

True, it was extremely hard to see, and at first, she wasn't even sure that it was there at all; by the time that she was positive it was there, it had already launched an attack, of sorts, towards her Metang, a Swagger. "Don't let it confuse you, Tang...you're better than that," she said softly to her pokemon, the night wind carrying her voice towards the creature, not that it was likely he would be affected in the first case considering the fact that he had just turned his attention to the Seviper, right in the middle of its strange dance.

After all, before he had been focusing completely on Gyarados, and afterward, had stopped doing a thing so as to regain his energy back; still, even so, Anabel's words definitely helped him keep a cool head. That did not, however, mean that Seviper's plan had failed completely.

One of Metang's fists glowed for a moment before he darted forward towards the Seviper in an obvious Meteor Mash attack; hopefully, since his attack had still been boosted by the Swagger, it would manage to find its target and weaken it. Meanwhile, Anabel was aware that, while it was unfair to do so, war wasn't fair, and so, a light shown throughout the area as a second pokemon was released; besides that, there was still Drake to worry about. True, he had really yet to arrive, but it could only be a matter of time until he did.

"Reuni!" Cerebrum, her Reuniclus, cried her name out to the sky, before giving a curious look to Anabel; at the same time, a mischievous grin was on the creature's face. With a curt nod from Anabel, who knew that mischievous look better than anyone else, psychic power gathered around the Seviper in a Psychic attack.

With luck, this attack would hold it in place and make it much more easier for the Meteor Mash to hit, if it hadn't already hit or miss, that is. Even if that were the case, if this Psychic was successful, the Seviper would find itself getting tossed back towards the ocean, though Anabel had no way of knowing that was where it had came from in the first place.

Snake Man hissed in disbelief as he noticed the Reuniclus appear. Great, now there were two of them, and both of them were going after him! Fortunately the Meteor Mash would prove easy to dodge. Or, at least, it would if it wasn't for the sudden pulse of psychic energy forming around him. The snake hissed with agony as his brain was hit by psychic waves, causing him great pain. In a panic he dove right at the Reuniclus, dodging the Meteor Mash only due to his superior night vision and the glowing fist. Desperate to make the pain stop he tried to wrap his coils around the Reuniclus, attempting to stab it in a vulnerable area with his Night Slash. Warlock, meanwhile, homed in on the location of the Hyper Beam and noticed his comrade in trouble. Sighing and wondering if the whole team would just fall apart without him, he slowly built up a large, purple orb in his hand. Remaining far enough to be out of sight but close enough to get a good aim at the Metang, he reared back and hurled his trademark Shadow Ball right at the steel-type. Attacking from the shadows was the Gengar's main strategy, and as soon as he tossed the Shadow Ball he scampered back off to prepare his next move. Angelo, meanwhile, was quite smart. While he had no way of knowing Brianna's personal history, if there was anything she hated it was seeing a helpless innocent at the mercy of hostile Pokemon. Her fist clenched with determination as she heard the feigned cries of the Zorua, each one reminding her more and more of her brother's last breaths. "Hold on, I'm coming!" she called out as Puffer sailed around the rocks of Slateport. It was a total rookie mistake, especially when she was trying to be stealthy, but Brianna would rather die than see any more innocents hurt by these criminals. Brianna's assessment was right: the rocks did make the current bumpy, and sailing to Slateport's west side was quite the precarious journey. But despite being tossed about and nearly slammed into rocks the pair made it to the shore, and from there the only thing between them and the "child" was a fence to hop over. She recalled Puffer and produced two more Pokemon, a Drapion and a Zubat. "Ace, Predator," Brianna ordered, pointing toward the Gengar and Ariados who were menacing the poor child. "Do whatever it takes to save him!" The three hopped the fence, Ace charging right into the fray and Predator keeping in the shadows. The Zubat dove into battle with wings spread out, making a loop to gain momentum as he charged at the Ariados with Acrobatics. Predator, meanwhile, tried to sneak behind the Gengar and pounce him. Once the target was caught in his four arms, delivering a devastating Crunch would be incredibly simple. Brianna herself stayed behind and drew a knife she had kept hidden in her clothes. As the first Hyper Beam from the city struck the commander of the Lux fleet, Wallace knew they had just arrived in time. He heard an audible gasp from behind, taking his attention. "What is it?" The trainer on a Sharpedo's back lowered his binoculars, revealing a grim expression. "The commander of the fleet is someone you're familiar with," he said. "It's Drake of the Elite Four." Wallace merely turned around, sighing. "This isn't the first time for me to see a friend on the opposite side, certainly not with the man in-charge of Ever Grande City." He closed his eyes for a moment, images of the past flashing in his head. “It’s only proper to greet him, don’t you think?” “Wallace…?” When Wallace opened his eyes, there was a rekindled spark in them, a sure smirk tracing down his brows and lips. He looked excited. ”Let's go, Alice!” Alice flipped her fin, raising her head and cried out to signal everyone. She slithered forward, the water gently carrying her over. Rallying behind the Milotic were different water-type Pokemon, most of them hailing from Hoenn such as Wailord, Sharpedo, Whiscash, and Crawdaunt. Hoenn had been a region of conflict that Nox fighting in the area were naturally adept at surfing now especially with Wallace to teach them. If Lux thought they were safe on their ships, they were sorely mistaken. "Spread and surround them!" Wallace ordered, taking out Celeste and Iris, a Seadra and Lanturn, to swim beside Alice. "Iris, send out a Signal Beam." Iris' tentacles antenna orbs glowed rainbow hues, blasting a colored beam to explode like fireworks in the sky. Wallace waited for the ship to throw a spotlight in his direction before stopping and speaking up. If Drake were commander of the fleet then he would have the dignity to respect an enemy's flare and hear him out. "I am Wallace Callais, the true Hoenn Champion, master of the aquatic grace!" Wallace announced loudly, his voice clear, audible, and well-modulated as if he were addressing an audience from the stage. "I would like to speak with the commander of the fleet but I will make it clear now that the subject has nothing to do with a compromise. It will be a warning for those of you who value your life. We have surrounded the fleet with 80 Pokemon individually capable of creating twelve-foot waves - and that's if we're feeling merciful. If you really want to steal Slateport from us, you would be swimming through the high tides before reaching any land, I'm afraid." Wallace's eyes flicked at Drake's direction. Holmes allowed himself a few more wriggles. The entire ordeal would have been so much damn easier if he knew Fake Tears. But the Zorua was an expert actor anyways, so it wasn't much of a big problem. He easily passed as a mute child, and Angelo's Pokémon passed as menacing enough to be picking on a not-so-innocent child. Mycroft hissed in the Zubat's direction as the Pokémon charged at him. Time to cramp some bat style. The Ariados began to spin more silk in its mouth before spitting up some extra String Shot at the Pokémon. If he could bind the Zubat's wings, then the Pokémon would be absolutely helpless. It would be a heap of blue, and if Angelo permitted it, Mycroft's next meal. He practically sprayed the entire span of the air with it, weaving a web in the air to catch the Zubat if it escaped the brunt of the String Shot.

Moriarty growled as his cheshire grin turned upside-down as he felt the Drapion pounce him. Typically, the ghost type would be able to float right through a Pokémon, but this Drapion was part dark. He was extremely displeased by this trap and wriggled about with irritation. That was why Lestrade was there, claws recently sharpened via Hone Claws. She hissed and spat at Predator, brandishing her sharpened claws before lunging in a Slash attack. Angelo found it excellent that his Pokémon could cooperate on their own and attack together without his commands. It was sort of necessary as an agent though. When everything relied on secrecy, communication was key, but when stealth was involved as well, one had to be able to read the other without using words.

There was a reason why Angelo had not released all his Pokémon. By the end, Holmes should still be in fighting state and Gregson would be all right. Hopefully, Mycroft, and Moriarty would survive through this encounter. On top of that, he had yet to release the big guns, more specifically, his Gallade. That Pokémon was his heavy hitter. He was counting on Mycroft, Moriarty, and Lestrade to whittle down Brianna's Pokémon's health. Then, he'd go in for the kill and cut her Pokémon down. It seemed like a dick move to let out his entire party, but this was only a thought in the back of his head that he would reach for if need be. Plus he had his gun. Angelo never played fair.

But it was only so long that Angelo could keep up this act. He was still human. "Molly?"[/color] the Agent called, to which the Emolga on his shoulder chirped. "It appears Moriarty needs some help. How about your Double Team - Quick Attack combo?" The Emolga bounced from her trainer's shoulder as a springboard before making illusory copies of itself. All the Emolgas flew through the air as Molly darted in Predator's direction, wings spread as she slashed away at the Drapion, laughing away as she attacked mercilessly.

That was Holmes' cue. The child suddenly smirked, nose growing into a snout and skin growing dark fur as he began to return to his original form. The Zorua brandished his claws, slashing and hacking away at Mycroft's String Shot with his Fury Swipes. Once he was free, the Zorua shook his fur free of the sticky substance, bouncing back to his trainer. Angelo scooped up the Zorua in one arm, rubbing the fox Pokémon's head. "Nice job, Holmes,[/color] he commented and the Zorua grinned at the praise.

"Playtime's over, dear,"[/color] Angelo chuckled, though in the back of his mind he grimaced at having to fight someone else who was Lux.

Well I signed up for this, so shit's on me,[/color] he said to himself.

The cry of a pokemon reached Drake’s ears, the soft, melodious sound carried by the sea breeze over the water. That was a familiar sound, like rain falling from the sky. Khronos heard it too, rasing her noble head slightly before turning, allowing both herself and the trainer upon her head to look towards the source of the sound. The darkness of night prevented the old man from seeing too far out over the water. He knew the cry though, having heard many in his day through opponents striving to defeat him. Milotic… It was an unforgettable sound, the cry of a Milotic. Beautiful yet strangely saddening at the same time, as though the pokemon were lamenting.

Has he come to this battle? Drake wondered, coughing a couple of times into his sleeve. If Wallace had truly graced the port city of Slateport with his fabulous presence, and by sea no less, Lux’s invaders had a larger threat than anticipated. I will be the one to deal with Wallace. the Elite Four member thought, reciting what he already knew was his duty. Of the trainers that had come on ships with him, he was the only person that could stand up to the young Champion.

Through the night, a rainbow-colored beam shot through the air, drawing attention of the few people remaining on Drake’s ship. A spotlight was turned to the source almost immediately, and the source of the cry from earlier was confirmed – it was a Milotic. The white cape accompanying it confirmed his suspicions – Wallace had arrived to defend Slateport for Nox. The turquoise-haired man had drawn close enough to Drake’s position to be heard, and Drake would listen.

”Khronos, turn to face ‘im. But do not move any further than ye need for now.”

The Gyarados obeyed and swung around, allowing Drake to give his full attention to the young man that spoke up now. He didn’t doubt that Wallace already knew full well who the ‘commander of the fleet’ was. He had, no doubt, been informed already unless he saw for himself. The threat of twelve-foot waves from eighty pokemon was a daunting thing to look at. Although Wallace had spoken with the utmost confidence and not so much as a hint of a bluff, Drake had to wonder if the war had afflicted Wallace in a way to where he would actually risk flooding Slateport with the Surfs of powerful Water-type pokemon.

Taking a deep breath when he was named, Drake sighed, taking his steadying arm off the horn upon Khronos’ head, placing both of his hands within the pockets of his trench coat as he stood straighter. ”Alright, lass…twelve-o’clock ho, sail to ‘im.” She obliged with a wave of her fin, her snake-like body gliding through the water easily. It was a wary approach on Drake’s part, though Khronos seemed almost excited to see a familiar sight. Once they were within range of being heard, the Gyarados stopped by unspoken command and allowed her trainer to speak,

”That I do, lad.” Drake said, a rough exhale escaping his lips. ”No compromise is sought, though it’s within me hopes that ye’ve not downgraded yerself to such a picaroon that ye would risk floodin’ Slateport at all with yer bleedin’ attacks on us!” Coughing finished Drake's statement, but his old eyes were narrowed, awaiting Wallace’s response. He had a feeling that few words more would be spoken, and that a fight would engage shortly.

Drakes fingers closed over two pokeballs in his pockets, as he had a feeling he’d be needing them soon. There’ll be no runnin’ a rig tonight!

Cerebrum the Reuniclus was, obviously, glad that her attack had found its mark, not that it had a good chance of missing at all. She wasn't, however, so proud so as to ignore the looming danger that was rushing right towards her. She was rather slow, but even so, she saw the Night Slash coming, and due to the pokemon's state of mind, that being at least slightly still affected by the Psychic,

The cell-like blob simply had to float upwards and to the side to avoid the attack, and even then, it was rather close at that. What did she retaliate with, then? Well, since the Night Slash had just barely missed, owing to Cerebrum's slowness and the Seviper's speed, Cerebrum's hand, or rather, fist now flew towards the Seviper in a Dizzy Punch attack.

With luck, it would hit, and with even more luck, it would cause some confusion; though luck probably had nothing to do with it hitting, owing to Cerebrum's proximity to the Seviper. Parietal, meanwhile, got hit by the Shadow Ball, and quite handily too, owing to the sneaky nature of the Gengar. However, unlike the Seviper, it was not small in the slightest; while it was quite dark, pokemon usually were not known for not having night vision. So the Metang let its eyes swivel in the direction the Shadow Ball had came from, and much like with the Seviper earlier and Anabel, it spotted the Gengar just barely.

With a cry, the Metang rushed forward, using Agility as it went to go even more faster. With luck, it would arrive where the Gengar was before it even knew what was happening, and then use Zen Headbutt against it; who would have ever thought that a Gengar would be fought in Slateport, of all places? It was right at that moment that the cry of a Milotic reached across the ocean, reaching her ears mostly because she was already so close to the water.

Wallace, maybe? she asked of herself, foolishly letting her gaze of the battle stray as she glanced in the direction the cry had came from. Yes, that was definitely Wallace there, and just opposite of him was Drake. She had to admit that she was a bit disappointed that she wasn't going to be able to face the legendary man down, but Wallace was powerful, she knew that, and despite his feminine appearance, he surely would do good in his coming battle with Drake. The way she saw it, that was the only way their confrontation would end.

"You show Lux that Nox isn't going to just take things lying down, Wallace!" she shouted, hoping her voice would reach across the water, and as she turned back to the battle, a blush was on her face; how embarrassing that was.

It must seem so childish to everyone in the area, not to mention the fact that it was possible Wallace didn't even know who she was. It wasn't as if the Battle Frontier had been all that busy two to four years ago. She ignored her thoughts and instead sent out her full party, because really, no kill like overkill. Plus, it would cause the battle to be over soon; just as she was about to order her pokemon, she wondered just where the irresponsible trainer of these two was...oh well; Anabel wasn't about to let an opportunity go when she could seize it. Alakazam, Musharna, Zoroark, and Cofagrigus; all six of her current pokemon were out, and what did she have them do?

Well, first off, Neuron the Alakazam joined in on the assault against the Gengar with a Psychic. Elusin the Zoroark also assaulted the Gengar by rushing forward, using Agility along the way like Parietal the Metang, and then he topped it off with a Night Daze when he was closer to the Gengar. The other two, Synapse the Musharna and Creeper the Cofagrigus, assisted in assaulting the Seviper. Synapse took careful aim, and then fired off a Psybeam attack, one that she was sure wouldn't hit the Reuniclus if it missed.

Creeper, meanwhile, did something simple, because he could miss as well with his other moves; from him came a simple Will-O-Wisp attack.

And to top this shit sundae off with the rotten cherry on top, Brianna had just fallen right into a trap. If she even survived this it would be one hell of a story to tell Tika, at least. The Liepard had broken from its fight with the Zangoose, suspicious but nothing telling yet, to attack Predator. He turned around, keeping his hostage held, and slammed the cat in the face with his sharp tail in a brutal Cross Poison. Hopefully this would deflect that cat, and specifically its claws, away from his body. He continued to grab onto the Gengar as he did this, constantly slamming teeth against his ectoplasmic flesh with his favored Crunch. Meanwhile, Ace danced around shots of string and the eventual web being formed around him. He stuck his tongue out at the Ariados, blowing a raspberry as he did a barrel roll and prepared to dash forward in a brutal slam. His wings spread wide as he took advantage of every string dodged to get closer to the Ariados, once more barreling into it with his trademark Acrobatics. Then, however, the fight started to go sour. The person Brianna once thought would be helping proved to have an agenda, and he commanded his Emolga to tackle into Predator. A slew of illusionary copies rocketed from the Emolga's body and flew at the Drapion, who desperately tried to whack them all away with Cross Poison. Squirrel was faster than scorpion, though, and his frantic swinging of Cross Poison happened to miss the one real copy. It slammed into his back, causing him to taste pavement and, worst of all, drop the Gengar. "The hell is your problem? I thought you were on . . . my . . . oh." Brianna's voice burned with anger, but slowly started to trail off as she noticed the seven year old boy turn into a Zorua. For a second she was deathly quiet, but then she began to seethe with anger. "How dare you even JOKE about this kind of thing, you . . . you . . . ASS!?" she demanded, releasing two Pokemon from their balls. Puffer and Blobert took the scene, the Qwilfish and Trubbish looking pumped and ready for battle. Puffer recklessly launched up at the escaping Gengar with an Aqua Jet, hoping to slam him to the ground. Trubbish clouded the skies with Clear Smog, trying to smoke any fliers like Emolga out of the air. Finally, Predator made a horrifying Scary Face to try and slow everyone on the battlefield down. Ace flew high into the skies, smiling broadly and ready to divebomb the Ariados, when he noticed a situation on the other side of the battlefield. Snake Man and Warlock appeared to be in a similar situation. In a rush to help out, the Zubat flew off to join his companions. He arrived just in time to notice Warlock being sent flying by a Zen Headbutt, the aggravated Ghost-type firing a Shadow Balls to counter. The Gengar gave Ace a "get over here, damnit" look to the Zubat as he flew off to continue the fight. It was a slaughter out there. Snake Man weaved underneath a Dizzy Punch, hissing with indignation only to be grazed right in the side by a Psybeam he could barely dodge. To say the regal snake was pissed would be an understatement. He leaped over the Will'o'Wisp and pounced at the Musharna with fangs extended, a horrific poison laced on them. He thought about the move he was about to use: Brianna specifically said she was uncomfortable with it. Too bad. She wasn't here. The Musharna surely wouldn't be able to get away before he slammed into it with a brutal Poison Fang. Warlock found a combined Psychic-Dark assault heading for him, chuckling a little. He had superior air control to the other two, so dodging their attacks was a matter of floating around them. He was certainly faring way better than his Seviper friend was. He formed two orbs of sludge in both hands and slammed them together, launching a Sludge Wave right at the two. It was even stronger than Shadow Ball was and was capable of easily hitting multiple targets, and it'd certainly distract the annoying trainer's team while he vanished into the shadows. Speaking of Pokemon, there was a Zubat here! The feisty little bat looked around: Snake Man could handle the pig fetus and the coffin. Warlock had the fox thing and the psychic mustache under control. And everybody could just team up on that horrifying metal thing. But the giant green booger? He'd be a fun target! Still unnoticed in the midst of enough attacks being flung to make a Michael Bay movie, he sneaked behind the Reuniclus and glomped it. And by glomped it I mean he slammed into it and dug his fangs into its body, feeding on its delicious life energy with a Leech Life. He did his best to not let go, trying to remain on that awkward spot of the back that was nearly impossible to reach. Although what applied to humans might not apply to Reuniclus, judging by its freakishly long arms and psychic powers. But such is life. Angelo couldn't help himself. He had a wide grin on his face. This was why he signed up for the job. Perhaps he had a sadistic streak after all. Whatever the case was, it was hell of fun. Of course, he felt a little guilty after Brianna's livid reaction. Had he touched upon a sensitive topic? Well, no matter. This was his job and although he was technically hampering a Lux soldier's ability to fight, he was Angelo, a Nox guerilla, for the time being. "Why thank you,"[/color] he said with a mock bow, grin still on his face. "You know, in some societies, being called an ass might be just as good of a compliment, and I consider the ass to be a very important part of the human body."[/color] Speaking of which, he also considered the ass to be a very fine part of human anatomy, though he figured shutting up now would be in the best of his interests.

A Qwilfish and Trubbish had now appeared on the scene, the Zubat suddenly soaring off to Arceus knows where. Angelo's scarlet eyes tracked the Pokémon until it disappeared from sight. For all he knew, the Pokémon could have been setting up for its own trap, but Angelo didn't think Brianna was that smart. Or cunning. Of course, it wasn't that he thought she was stupid, just maybe too angry to plan out an extensive trap. Once the Zubat was gone, Angelo fixed his eyes back on the battle. He was 100% focused now.

Lestrade yowled at as the Cross Poison attack slashed into her fur. The Pokémon's claws had dug into her fur, but she did not feel any of its toxins quite yet. The cat Pokémon had been lucky to escape poisoning. As long as the claws didn't cut through enough skin, she'd be safe. Of course, poison attacks were particularly injurious to her so she'd have to be careful. In fact, it appeared that all of the Pokémon that Brianna had released were all type poison. The Liepard snarled before leaping back to her trainer's side. This was a 6 against 3 battle. She could afford to sit one round out.

Holmes had leaped into action with an Extrasensory attack in Predator's direction. Hopefully the psychic energy would be enough to stop the Pokémon from chomping down on Moriarty. For all Angelo knew, the Gengar would be in deep shit if that Pokémon managed to hit him with a crunch, which was precisely the reason why the Pokémon's eyes had begun to glow red. The Disable attack should have been enough to muzzle the Drapion for a bit. Moriarty pirouetted out of Predator's hold, now keeping a safe distance between himself and the Drapion. There would be no more of that grabbing.

"Moriarty, stop getting caught! You're better than that!"[/color] Angelo shouted from his post on the beach. Just then, he watched as Predator's face was pulled into a menacing expression. That was going to make things harder for his Pokémon to dodge things. Molly shouldn't have a problem, but it would prove to be a bit of a hassle for Mycroft and Moriarty. Both Pokémon managed to shake the expression off, but it was clear that their muscles had stiffened slightly, making it difficult for them to move. Angelo then gestured Molly closer towards him. "Gotta give her some credit. Stay close to the ground. This shouldn't be too hard with your Shock Wave attack. Aim straight for the Qwilfish even though you won't miss anyways."[/color] The squirrel Pokémon giggled as she let loose a bolt of electricity to intercept the Qwilfish's Aqua Jet attack. Gregson too was lunging in Puffer's direction, claws brandished for another Slash attack all while Mycroft had picked up on Blobert's poison type. He would exploit it now. Angelo taught his poison type Pokémon psychic type attacks for a reason.

"Hit 'em with a Psychic attack,"[/color] he commanded, to which the Ariados now generated more silk, spitting it up in a String Shot attack before following up with a Psychic.

Clearly, Brianna was paddling up shit creek without an oar.
