"Hm...why do ya think we lost, Hope?" the white-haired child asked of her Mawile, trotting beside her. Of course, she being a pokemon, she was unable to adequately answer Paige's question. All she could say was her name, causing Paige to sigh a bit; it was a shame pokemon couldn't speak to them. Some could, such as psychic pokemon, but that was about it.
The girl really wondered what pokemon were thinking at times. "Hm..." she commented as they walked; right then it was shortly after the contest she had just lost, and she was pacing outside the Olympics, wondering to herself where she had gone wrong. She thought, and thought, and thought some more until she came up with a solution. "Of course, you weren't dressed up! I was, but you weren't! And that's a huge point of it, for pokemon to get dressed up to!" she suddenly exclaimed, pointing a finger down at her Mawile.
The pokemon, for her part, just stared blankly at the finger before looking up towards Paige's face, as if asking if she were serious about this. "Of course I'm serious! For the next contest we're in, and I assure you we're gonna be in another, you're going to be dressed up. Let's go find something for ya right now!" she exclaimed, snatching her Mawile up and holding her close as she raced through the streets of Castelia.
Roughly an hour later, the two of them were back in front of the Olympics. The Mawile stubbornly had her arms crossed as she glared at Paige, obviously not pleased with the dress she had on. The white-haired girl, however, did not seem to notice the fact that her Mawile disliked the dress, and instead giggled as she circled the pokemon. "You're so cuuuuute Hope! You should wear that more often than just in contests!" Paige said, a happy smile on her face.
