Oh man. Oh man. Ruby's sneakers splashed the shallow water as he dismounted his Flygon. He anxiously eyed the cave's entrance and folded his arms across his chest, feeling the chilly air from the interior creeping up onto his face. This place was no good- everyone in Hoenn knew that by now. And that was precisely why Ruby had been sent here- because others had come up with excuses. But Ruby had trouble lying to someone's face, especially if that person was ranked above him. So here he was. Getting ready to do a thorough checkup on the Shoal Cave prison. But hey? It couldn't be that bad, right? Ruby had been here before. Granted, that was many years ago...whatever, he thought, returning Rufio back to his pokeball and hesitantly edging towards the entrance. Don't forget who these prisoners are, Ruby reminds himself, they're criminals. They're Lux. And with that, he hurried into the cave. The sooner he got this done, the better. Glancing around the cave, he announced semi-loudly, "I'm here to check on things!" No reply. "I need an escort."

Oh no, was no one at the entrance? Well that just would not do, now would it?

Kyra quickly double checked her uniform to make sure it wasn't some terrible mess, yelled out a, "Just a moment!" more fitting to a child yelling to her mother as she turned from the corner and made her way quickly up the steps. Ah! She beamed and stopped, donning a bright smile as she saluted. "Do you have an appointment?" It was a joke, but the thought that maybe she shouldn't be joking didn't occur to Kyra until the words were out of her mouth.
