It was late in the afternoon and dusk was approaching fast. The sky was changing to dark oranges reds and purples all mixed together in a beautiful landscape of the sky. Sitting beneath the protections of the trees only a few meters from the route was a red haired male who was fast asleep with his arms behind his head being used as a pillow but he wasn’t alone. Surrounding him in a protective circle were his pokemon. His Arcanine was sleeping around him with his head resting beside his right shoulder and his back head was beside his left shoulder. Beside his right leg was his Ninetails who was also asleep with her head resting on his upper thigh. Sleeping just like the Ninetails but on the red head’s left side was an Absol. Hidden within the tree branches was the large bird pokemon bla who was in a light sleep and would awake with the slightest sound or rustle. But the one that was hidden from the eyes of passersby was the red head’s most loyal pokemon a Zoroark who was hiding in plain sight up against the tree behind the Arcanine but with his ability to create illusions people would just see a tree and not the large scary dark pokemon that was actually there.
The young man sleep was actually a Republic loyalist who had just returned from a hit mission given to him by a Lux politician. It wasn’t a big hit just a spy they wanted dead so this man Akkai killed him. Akkai had spent most of his day traveling and had decided to take a nap with his pokemon which was common when it came to Akkai since he didn’t feel safe out in the open like this without his pokemon around him. Akkai had always been able to rely on his pokemon for protection comfort and love and they were truly the only ones in the world Akkai trusted. As the sun set the world around Akkai and his pokemon would become dark and the wild pokemon of the forest would come out and play. Most were harmless but there were some who were extremely territorial and would kill Akkai in a second if it had the chance but Akkai wasn’t worried about pokemon they were easy to deal with. It would be humans he was most concerned about since they were unpredictable and sometimes hard to figure out.
