His skinny body was draped with a loose, white short-sleeved shirt with two vertical red stripes on the sleeves, while his pants were olive green kapris. His shoes? Straight white sneakers. His pistols were hidden beneath his baggy shirt clinging to his body, just in case he needed them. It had been a butt to sneak them in, and find a shirt large enough to hide them. He didn’t give two shits if he was in Unova, he was going to carry guns for his own sake, no matter what. Now though, he could hardly believe he was actually participating in Olympics. What was this? It was unlike anything he’d ever experienced. So many people in one place, all focusing on fun and winning. He wasn’t all too sure what the fun was supposed to be, but winning was something he could do. Let’s get serious. His first event was soccer, and he had three of his best pokemon – Drapion, Feraligatr, and Infernape all ready for his command. He stood on the slight arch over top of the goal he was meant to defend. All this would take for success was organization. ”Alright, Drapion, stay goalie. Stand lengthwise in the goal so you can cover as much range with a block as possible. Use your arms and tail to your advantage, it’s what they’re there for.” The pokemon turned and twisted to watch the field. First pokemon - done. ”Feraligatr, go midway out on the field when the bell sounds as defense.” The big-jawed pokemon nodded. ”Infernape...use your imagination.” The monkey-like pokemon let out an eager cry and leapt as soon as the bell sounded, signalling the start of the match. Racing along on all fours out onto the field, Infernape charged straight for the ball. His eyes flashed yellow and his fists took on a blue glow as he swept down for the ball, aiming to shoot it straight across the field like a rocket thanks to a Mach Punch. Feraligatr had taken the defensive stance while Infernape handled offense and Drapion remained ready as goalie. All was going according to plan. [/style]

Truly that was the definition of irony. As young Elliot usually dressed rather informally he didn't need to make any special changes to his wardrobe. However, much to the amusement of a few audience members, his Pokemon had. While the other Pokemon were going into the event all natural, the boy's Starly, Scraggy, and Dwebble were all clad in some sort of uniform. The bird and lizard were wearing small jerseys with the numbers 1 and 2 on them, while the Dwebble had two white cards with the number 3 plastered onto his shell. As the match started Elliot paced back and forth, giving his team a pep talk. "Alright, you three!" the boy declared, a big smile on his face. "We're not the biggest ones here. Or the strongest. And judging by that one guy's Infernape we're probably not the fastest. But you all have something no other team has: you're the craziest bunch of Pokemon I've ever seen in my entire life! If you can keep everyone else on your toes, I know you'll do great. Pantslizard, you'll be great as a goalie. That rock-solid head of yours should stop anyone from getting past you. Supernova, with your speed you're definitely the team striker. Never let up on the pressure, okay? And Dwebstep? Stay on defense for now . . . but when I give you the signal, "drop the bass." You all ready?" Supernova cheered, pointing a wing skywards like a cavalry saber as he charged into "battle." Pantslizard nodded merrily, skipping carefree into the goal. Dwebstep followed closely behind the lizard, shell shining. Of course, Thanatos and his Infernape acted faster than anyone could, and while Supernova was busy waving and mugging for the cameras he was hit square in the face by a Mach Punch propelled ball. He slammed right into a wall, hopping to his feet and shouting angrily at the monkey. His wings spread as he dashed forward, leaving a trio of afterimages with Double Team. One image flew in front of him, one flew behind him, and the third flew in Infernape's face to distract him by fluttering its wings around and screaming. If anybody tried to stop Supernova, they'd most likely try to tackle away his first afterimage and pass right through. If they figured themselves clever and thought Supernova was the last Starly in the lineup, they would find themselves passing through the other afterimage. Only the middle Starly was the true Supernova, and he drew a taloned foot back to smash the ball as far as he could. That Infernape would PAY for ruining his beautiful face! [navitas]

This was a big day indeed, a big day! So big that Navitas the clown actually dusted off his Army General costume so he would look nice. He almost looked threatening despite the remaining clown make-up and sunglasses connected to a fake nose and mustache. Yep, other then that Navitas was the definition of manly. He even had a manly bubble pipe that he swung back and forth from one side of his mouth to the other.

The general looked upon his team of rascally strongmen, who may have out-shined the getup of Elliot's team with their bullet proof army helmets and fancy clown make-up that covered their bodies. The three unlikely heroes saluted their master as he began to walk back and forth, blowing many a bubble out of his pipe. Eventually he faced the three and began to say in a commanding voice, "Now look here ladies, this is a serious operation. They think their tough but I tell ya I ain't seen no one who could stand up in a soccer game against a Dragonite, Haxorus, and a Garchomp. Then again I have not seen many soccer games. However, I know for-a-fact that you three are the darn best pokemon for this job and I know you'll do it well! Or at least you better, or no poffins for a month!"

The three pokemon gulped yet showed no emotion and did not dare break their salutes. Navitas marched in front of his Dragonite and declared, "Rocko! Protect that goal with your life!" He pointed to his Garchomp, "Krusty, you make sure that there ball doesn't get ten feet within our perimeter. Do-you-un-der-stand!?" Krusty nodded. He then pointed to his Haxorus, "Finally, you Bozo are the only one who can match the speed of the rest of these chumps besides Rocko. You're not bigger than the goal though so you'll have to be offense. Bring the pain on that ball! Now you all have your orders, get out there and be the best-damn-soccer playing clowns this crowd will ever see!"

With that, the three ripped off their helmets to reveal three giant rainbow Afros. Then after a series of silly and outlandish cheers, the three dragons hopped onto the field and got into their positions. The tension was high and the competition was tough, but ole Navitas trusted his comrades and was sure they would bring home the gold!

When the bell sounded, Bozo was pleasantly surprised by the reaction speed of the Infernape. Though, he wasn't phased, such speed was expected in a game of soccer. Then there was the little bird who seemed to use double team before going for the ball. Not being dumb enough to attack a pokemon using Double Team, Bozo stood to the side, yet still a ways in front of the bird, and watched as it let out a mighty kick. The shifty Haxorus then jumped in the way and Hopped up to headbutt it.

Instead, the ball knocked off his Afro and got stuck in between its upper tusks. Bozo spun around a bit in an attempt to find the ball before seeing his Afro on the ground, realizing what had happened, and slammed its head against the air as hard as it could to lodge it out. He then lifted one of its mighty legs and sent the thing soaring to the other side of the field before running after it at top speed. Meanwhile, Krusty made random poses in preparation for the moment his defense skills were needed while Rocko just leaned on the goal, quite bored.

He had only really signed up for some Lux PR, he was after all one of the main Lux members in Unova. That led to him needing to make some form of appearance here, so besides carrying the torch for a ways he really didn't have a reason to be there. This made him decide to sign up for an event. Based on the ones offered he felt the Pokeathlon fit his fancy the best. Especially being a cyclist. He rode his bike daily and always made sure his Pokemon were in the best of shapes. Black had even gotten fancied up for the event. Here he was in designer jeans, a button down shirt, and a pair of Sperry's. The Pokemon he was going to use today were: Gesini his Reuniclus, Brev the shiny Swampert, and Plight the shiny Crobat. Only one of these Pokemon did he ever use on a regular basis. The other two were trophies more or less. Prizes. First off it was super rare to catch a shiny like Plight, secondly a shiny starter was like out of this world! Black hoped it would work out though because based on the competitions he knew were in this game all relied on speed, skill, and power. Gesini covered speed, Brev covered power, and Plight covered skill. Together they would be the perfect team. He had only had all three of them work together like twice and so they might be a little rusty, which could end up being his downfall. If they fought like he did in battle, though they could be everlasting and win this thing bringing him home with a gold. It all depended on this and Black was determined to win. With shear determination he was going to pull this off and conquer whatever challenge they threw at him. SOCCER. SOCCER. SOCCER. Well $%!#. He hadn't prepared for this. Shoot, he barely even knew how to play soccer, usually these things were a lot of running and hurdles and much more competitive, non-interacting games. Soccer was so physical, and well he wasn't ready for that. "Alright guys, I want y'all to go out there and do your best. Try as hard as you possibly can. Gesini, your going to be on offense, try your best to get the ball into other's goals. Brev, you'll be goalie, make sure to use your large body so that nothing gets past you. Plight, be on defense, make sure that you control anything that comes our way and send it right back in the opposite direction." Now with all his Pokemon under orders they were sent out to act upon their orders. The buzzer rang and Gesini was off. She decided to let the others fight over the opener and instead waited nearby for her turn to strike. The Haxorus had removed the ball from it's horns and as it traveled through the air she appeared in front of it and then sent it back in the other direction with a strong forced hidden power. Meanwhile his other two Pokemon just waited prepared to pounce at any moment if the ball came in their direction. [/style][/style]

Something so ugly, so incredibly disgusting that it stuck out like a sore thumb in the haze of hype and excitement over a simple game? It made Thanatos’ eyebrows knit together and his jaw worked in a serious frown, grinding his teeth together like no tomorrow. Color splashed across his face, turning it red like a blush spread across it. In a moment there would probably be beads of sweat dotting his brow. Yes, yes, that was truly how much effort it took him to try to control himself in this situation. His knuckles were being bleached white by a lack of circulation as his fists clenched around the poles in front of him, separating him from the absurd pokemon on the field that were the object of his rage. All because of rainbow afro wigs. Seriously, who the hell put somebody or something through the misery of wearing that?! Nobody decent, obviously. But even worse, they made spectators endure staring at something so putrid it made Thanatos want to claw his eyes out. ”Are you out of your damn mind?!” he finally shouted, looking up and glaring at the owner of the pokemon in the hideous wigs. ”Why the hell would you do something like that? Rainbows are absolutely disgusting! This is a competition, not a joke!” Rainbows werent symmetrical in the slightest. Oh how Thanatos wanted to shoot the wigs to oblivion, but he’d already been arrested once in his time in Unova, and he didn’t want to do it again. Taking a deep breath similarly to how a child would if they were aggravated, he forced himself to turn away from the direction of the other trainer and stare at the field. His gaze soon dropped to just his Drapion, though, simply to ignore the painful sight the soccer game had become. He had only seen a flash of the situation his Infernape had landed in. Time to get more serious. Thanatos didn’t need to look up to bark orders at his pokemon. ”Drapion, stay put. Feraligatr, hit it however and wherever possible. Infernape...take care of the things bothering you.” Obliging, Feraligatr leapt into the air after the ball was turned once more in his direction, his body moving wildly in a Flail to smack the ball back. However, it went straight up into the air over the middle of the field, ready to descend back into the chaos. Meanwhile, Thanatos’ Infernape smirked, glaring at the bird pokemon. He would take care of them before returning to the game. It would be over quickly. Clenching his fists, they sparkled with electric energy before he swung around with a right hook, aiming a Thunderpunch for the bird and its copies, before following up with a left hook aimed for the same. Everybody else's Pokemon were so much bigger and tougher than his, and they were all playing so well! For a while the boy felt horribly outmatched. However, Elliot was never one to let inadequacy grip him for too long. Slowly, a grin creeped across his face as a plan started to come together. "Wow, you guys are really good!" he told his fellow competitors, eyes sparking with energy. "But now its my turn! Dwebstep, Rock Wrecker on Pantslizard! Pantslizard, use Head Smash! Supernova, wrap this all up with a Brave Bird! Some members of the audience gave Elliot confused looks: was he just telling his Pokemon to hit each other? As the Dwebble began weaving a massive boulder from the ground, the truth would be revealed. The rocky bug soon held a rock as big as his shell, which he lifted with both hands and hurled right at Pantslizard. The Scraggy chuckled, drew his head back, and smacked the rock with all of the might he could muster. It careened right toward the airborne ball, Elliot's plan almost set. Supernova, however, had other ideas. That thrice-damned Infernape was now rushing him with electrified fists, smashing his Double Teamed clones into pieces. The original was doing all he could to avoid being smashed into pieces, before noticing the rock rumbling past him. Glowing a slight blue, Supernova flew into the air and executed a perfect loop. Unfortunately for the Infernape, this meant his quarry was flying away from him with great speed. The bird was swiftly catching up to the rolling stone: one more push and everyone would see the true power of Supernova! Boulder and bird collided, the bird falling to the ground from the impact. As he groggily stood up he was proud to see that he had struck true. Dwebstep's Rock Wrecker had rolled into the ball at insane speeds, and the boulder had blasted the rock right toward . . . Navitas' goal. The one with a full-grown dragon inside of it. That could be a problem. [navitas]

Navitas stared at the field, his lips puckered and his fake nose twitching. It was a tough match up to be sure, though he wasn't much afraid of the little tikes in the arena. Navitas tended to be an assumption driven man. He also tended to be a calm man, so when he was yelled at by one of his competitors for his pokemon's fashion sense, he just stared at the game. Though when the man turned away from him, Navitas was kind enough to respond by flipping the man off and before folding his hands behind his back.

Poor Bozo was running all over the place, trying to keep up with all the different directions the ball was heading. It felt somewhat off balance without its afro, but stuck it out and continued to pursue the ball. Navitas did not give commands to his pokemon, as he knew they knew what they were doing. After all, they were taught how to wing-it by the master himself, so what could possibly go wrong?

How about having the ball flying at dazzling speeds toward their goal? Yeah that's one thing that could go wrong. Ah but Navitas wasn't worried, he had a dragonite in the goal! A very intelligent dragonite nonetheless, and when Rocko saw the ball heading toward him he knew it was his time to prove himself. Getting up from his leaning position, the dragonite stepped forward in front of the goal. It had no time to stretch as the ball zoomed past the unprepared Krusty and was almost upon him, so it just took a deep breath, swung its waist to the left, and swirled in a complete circle. Ah, but this was not any fancy twirl, Rocko had swung in such a way, that his tail would swing itself with a great amount of strength. The ball would meet the tail and the two forces shall collide, thus bringing the ball to an abrupt stop.

However, the tail continued to move in a way that would cause the ball to fly away from the goal once again. Thus, the ball once again went into motion and flew quite a distance before falling to the ground near Krusty. Though the ball was deflected, Rocko's tail was now quite sore from taking a high speed projectile head on, so he feared he would have to use more extreme measures whenever the ball would come back to him. Krusty, spotting the ball nearby, decided to redeem himself. He whistled to Bozo before swinging his own tail into the ball, causing it to soar across the ground. Bozo heard the whistle but did not know where it had come from. Navitas finally intervened, "Catch the pass Bozo! Do-your-du-ty-soldier!" Bozo spotted the ball rolling across the field and narrowed its eyes. It was time to prove his own worth, but he would have to get to the ball before the other opponents. To gain more speed, Bozo planted his legs firmly and roared as a large red cloud appeared out of thin air and swirled around him before being absorbed. This was what one called, Dragon Dance, which under normal circumstances would be an actual silly dance but this was a desperate time. The haxorus roared, armed with more speed and power, before launching at the ball. Krusty, fearing his pal wouldn't make it in time, roared and twirled in an incredibly fast motion to summon a Twister. He launched the twister toward the now slowing down ball, which was caught up in the swirling vortex and pushed farther down the field. It went past Bozo, but he was quickly able to correct his mistake and follow the twister. When the twister ceased, Bozo let out a powerful beam of Dragon Pulse to launch the ball at high speeds toward the opposite goal. Whether it would make it or not, is yet to be seen.

That meant they would have to use some ferocious and aggressive power. He wouldn't stand for losing as this was his home turf and he was prepared to kick but. Gesini was busy out on the field when the ball was sent towards Black's goal. That sent Plight into action. The shiny Crobat quickly let out an ominous wind to send the ball in another direction. That left Gesini to send it full force at Thanatos goal. She used a strong psychic and the ball went flying for her opponent's goal. This made Black proud as his Pokemon were able to work together without him giving out orders. That way they could be strong and read each other. Well one of them was able to read the others minds, too. That definitely helped and made things much easier. "Go team, you can do it!" [/style][/style]

An alarmed cry escaped the monkey-like pokemon’s lips as he hopped from place to place, bouncing between his hands and feet as he tried to avoid flying debree. The Feraligatr and Drapion watched their teammate with slight interest, waiting to see if he would get hit or not. They didn’t move from their spot to assist, though. Instead, their attention was turned back to the game as the ball went flying from the goal guarded by a Dragonite. They watched it and tensed, crouching low when it caught in a twister, coming straight for them. Feraligatr backpedaled instantly to just about the same line as Drapion in the goal – just about. The Twister came closer and closer, before Drapion’s clawed arm grew purple, and it lashed out in a Night Slash, the dark power slicing through the rotating Twister, upsetting the air currents just enough for the ball to fall back to the pokemon. Opening its jaws, Feraligatr caught the ball, closing them as soon as it touched his teeth. Like a spring-loaded trap, the blue pokemon’s jaws snapped closed instinctively, teeth and incredible force driving down upon the soccerball. A loud, loaded pop echoed over their field, and the shreds of the soccer ball hung from between Feraligatr’s teeth. Thanatos had looked through his bangs just in time to see the ball fly downwards towards his Feraligatr. Then the pop. ”What. The. Hell. Was. That?” As if he didn’t already know. [/style]

Would it succeed? Would Dwebstep get to be the hero? The answer was no: as he swung, a much taller Feraligatr had already gobbled the ball up and left Dwebstep to land in an embarrassing faceplant. He hopped up, looking around as he tried to see what the gator was doing. A loud POP! answered that question, as the water-type ate the ball. Elliot's smile visibly deflated as he watched the ball pop, sagging a little with disappointment. "Oh. Well, it fun while it lasted, at least . . . " Supernova, on the other hand, was not so content to let the issue go. He flew up to the Feraligatr's face, flapping his wings in a frenzy as he ranted about the alligator Pokemon ruining everything. Pantslizard had to walk up and grab Supernova by the tail feathers, dragging him away to stop the bird from causing a fuss. Elliot bashfully looked at Thanatos. "S-sorry about that.
